Did you hear the stats he read off about the improvements he HAS made during his 5 years???!!! Good grief!! I can't believe these complainers on this thread!!

Smoke and mirrors. They caught more because more were coming across. Throwing money at the problem isn't accomplishing much of anything. I'll believe his stats if he could show an actual reduction in the number of criminal invaders who made it across the border and another reduction in the number of those already here. There are well over 10 million criminal invaders already here in the U.S., has that number dropped at all since Bush took office? No. Then his results are crap. Has he reduced the rate of increase? Who knows? Who cares? The Republicans in Congress and the President point to so-called "spending cuts" which are really just small reductions in the rate of spending increases. Bogus. Show me results and I'll start believing what you have to say.

Reagan did embrace amnesty and it seems you forget WHY! He allowed congress to start reform with a clean plate. What it boils down to is that....well....plainly stated....congress just chose to do nothing and fill the plate with cr@p again.

I've always agreed not to give benefits to any illegals and we even voted that in Calif before the court said it was unconstitutional.....except for maybe emergency care..and I do mean "emergency"......no other benefits should be given to illegals at all.....either that, or let them all move in with Democrats...that would solve the problem....and get some change of hearts......*wink*

The enviro's are trying everything they can to stop a border barrier fence because it will harm endangered species.

Are they trying to stop the illegals themselves from harming endangered species?

Don't shoot the messenger. He did campaign on it.

The avenue is to eliminate the benefits. States, such as my own, have pinheaded policies whereby illegals receive social security numbers. A true reform would stop that process and revoke those issued without proper documentation.

And reform would include taking away social security and other assistance to anyone who is not a US citizen.

For crying out loud, wake up and smell the cesspool. The government refuses to send illegals back to their nation of origin today, but with a wink and a nod promises to do so in six years. You've got to be a kumquat to believe this.

Re jobs that "Americans won't do"

An example of unspeakable elitism on his part and Geraldine Ferraro is now on Fox spouting similar bird poo.

30,000 people to be thrown out of GM. 7,000 out of Merck.
Just got off the phone today with MSN help techs in India and Argentina.

Time for the American Voter to wake up and realize that we have been sold the #@*& out.

Well, maybe someone from FR, or several even, I would send money! I read these threads and its the first thing that comes to mind, why not at least try?

A strong Congress, and strong State Houses will help.

Some people on this forum wouldn't be satisfied if we burned illegals at the stake. Lets clone velociraptors like in Jurassic Park to patrol our borders and eat intruders [sarcasm]

In addition to burning illegals at the stake, I also want to burn their employers as well!

LOL! Fabulous! Arianna has a big place in California. And Senator Ted has a big place in Hyannisport.

Kerry has his yacht, the Scaramouche, that he could share (as his wife makes him sleep in the car) LOL

It allows the people to remain for a limited time only!!! Hardly amnesty!

Really. So, if someone has been here illegally for years and their employer has employed them for years, what will their penalty be for breaking those laws? No penalty? A fee (a slap on the wrist) to be paid? That's amnesty if they don't get the full penalty. It is amnesty if the criminal invader doesn't have to return to his home country and apply for the system just like everyone else. No, it isn't a blanket amnesty - but it is an amnesty nonetheless.

He is vowing to enforce the law throughout the land.

I won't hold my breath waiting for him to do that, he hasn't up to this point. He wants to make them all LEGAL!

So let's eliminate the benefits. Guess what? At least a third of illegals wind up on welfare. Money stops.

True. Why didn't we hear something like that from the President?

Americans refuse to do work for peanuts while a stockholders dividends equal more than their pay. You see sir this is supposed to be part of the free market. When people see that wages SUCK compared to what 'suits' take home and what sharholders take home they have EVERY RIGHT, as part of the free market to refuse to perform that labor for that wage. This applies to skilled unskilled dirty or clean work.

Remove the illegal workforce and let the free market decide the wages thru supply and demand on a level playing field.

You are for a stable level playing field of FREE MARKET aren't you?

I believe his words included the phrase "where needed".
