The Sunday Times of London follows up on Bruce Willis' plans to make a film about the heroes of Deuce Four, based on the reporting of embedded journalist/blogger extraordinaire Michael Yon:
ANGERED by negative portrayals of the conflict in Iraq, Bruce Willis, the Hollywood star, is to make a pro-war film in which American soldiers will be depicted as brave fighters for freedom and democracy.
It will be based on the exploits of the heavily decorated members of Deuce Four, the 1st Battalion, 24th Infantry, which has spent the past year battling insurgents in the northern Iraqi town of Mosul.
Willis attended Deuce Fours homecoming ball this month in Seattle, Washington, where the soldiers are on leave, along with Stephen Eads, the producer of Armageddon and The Sixth Sense.
The 50-year-old actor said that he was in talks about a film of these guys who do what they are asked to for very little money to defend and fight for what they consider to be freedom.
Unlike many Hollywood stars Willis supports the war and recently offered a $1m (about £583,000) bounty for the capture of any of Al-Qaedas most wanted leaders such as Osama Bin Laden, Ayman Al-Zawahiri or Abu Musab al- Zarqawi, its commander in Iraq. Willis visited the war zone with his rock and blues band, the Accelerators, in 2003.

Many may not know that this heartbreaking and memorable photo was taken by Michael .. he's gotten so many requests for reprints, that he's finally been convinced to offer it on his site.
you can push that film anytime Ronnie....
I still watch it every couple months.. :) God Bless and thanks again.. (Always)
The soldiers love this man. Bruce has been to Iraq, and was probably the safest man in America when he was surrounded by the Deuce Four Punishers.
=======================
From the Deuce Four Punishers' Ball description on Michael's Site .. the special gathering upon their return from Iraq
"Bruce had taken the time to fly in as a guest speaker to thank the members of the Deuce Four. He gave the most impassioned speech I can remember, using clear termsincluding some well-selected profanities to describe terroriststo express his admiration and support for the troops. Bruces speech was so accurate in his description of the war, and so charged with emotion, that he seemed ready to lead the troops himself back to Iraq; and they were ready to go.
Interestingly, I learned laterand I am not sure Bruce wants this to be knownBruce actually tried to join the military to fight in this war but they told him he is too old. He doesnt look too old. Not judging by the reaction of all the women in attendance at the ball that night.
Great work Mr. Willis.
Or my favorite: unabashed jingoism.
Yep!
I loved the episode set in the past and he rides in on a horse with a BMW logo stuck on it.
Thanks for the gr8 post, pics & links.
Bruce Willis is my kinda broken glass guy.
Pretty much.
You can guarantee that the movie is going to be a hit and make money.
You can also guarantee that critics will blast it the way they ripped on the passion of christ.
And the elites will refer to the folks who went to see this movie in the most negative way possible.
FWIW, Samuel L. Jackson is a bigger leftist than Glover, IMO.
I've liked Willis more for drama and comedy, not Die Hard stuff.
That he is a real man and stand-up fellow just makes it easier.
Bad trade Demi made in my book as a dude.
And he will .. and we'll see that he does. Hollyweirdos can just cry in their Bentleys and prozac, if they choose the unAmerican way.
<< I can't/won't watch Danny Glover anymore...
Talk about a leftie....Glover is a really outspoken leftist!! >>
I think you're a bit confused with Mad Max Mel - Laundrywood's other courageous conservative.
But you're spot on about Glover: the Socialist International's Cultural Marxist Division's definitive useful idiot.
Savant.
Because as far as most of the MSM is concerned, good news is not news but bad news is good news. What doesn't bleed doesn't lead. Can you imagine, war coverage without bleeding?
BTTT: finally, a member of the Hollywood elite who GETS IT!!
I've loved him from Day 1.
Cool. Count on me to buy a ticket.
Thank you, Bruce!
