If Pecan pie gains on pumpkin, then it will likely be used to ultimately argue for more Pecan farm subsidies....

I'm with you. Who the heck came up with the idea of putting a big orange squash into a pie?

LOL!
I voted for pumpkin pie.
I like pecans. They're one of my favorite nuts to eat.
But pecan pie - ewwwwwwwwwwwww!

I hate pumpkin pie. When the Viking Kitties say eat pumpkin pie, you'll eat pumpkin pie and like it.

"Native Americans dried strips of pumpkin and wove them into mats. They also roasted long strips of pumpkin on the open fire and ate them. The origin of pumpkin pie occurred when the colonists sliced off the pumpkin top, removed the seeds, and filled the insides with milk, spices and honey. The pumpkin was then baked in hot ashes."
So basically, pumpkin pie was at the cradle of American civilization.

There is Nothing Worse than a Pecan Pie Eating Liberal I'm sure you meant to say that only booger-eating, bed-wetting moronic liberals would eat a pumpkin pie.

Here is a recipe for so-called moderates:
Diane Sutton's Pecan Pumpkin Pie
Ingredients:
three eggs
one cup of pumpkin (fresh or canned)
one-third cup of sugar
one teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice (may use one teaspoon cinnamon, one-fourth teaspoon ginger, one-fourth teaspoon cloves, one-fourth teaspoon nutmeg)
two-thirds cup corn syrup (light)
one- half cup of sugar
three tablespoons of melted oleo
one-half teaspoon vanilla
one cup pecans; one unbaked nine-inch pie shell.

What are you? Some kind of moderate consensus builder. You probably prefer mincemeat pie.
