There's been a lot of questions about the 'X' appearing over Vice President Cheney during a live speech on CNN yesterday... Was it intentional? Was it a glitch? I could see it being a glitch, but the way CNN has responded to it, they don't seem all that concerned about it.
Still, it is interesting to note that everything being alleged by Drudge or others about the intent of the 'X' sounds quite similar to what was being said by CNN during the 2000 campaign where 'RATS' appeared on screen for a fraction of a second in a Republican National Committee ad attacking Al Gore prescription drug plan. CNN wasted no time to attack the Bush campaign after they "concluded" the word 'RATS' was flashed intentionally and maliciously:

I am not at all sure why you attacked the poster like you did.
Firefox doesn't let any through from him... coupled with AdBlock extension I don't even see his stupid flashing ads...
Except that the RATS excerpt dominated the news cycle for about a week with the RATS & MSM calling for apologies and investigations.
I'm surprised anyone still watches that idiotic channel.
These glitches cannot be considered a series of accidents if they consistently favor the same side.
Thus must you take up your sword and shield before venturing to his website!
And if they always happen at pivotal times against people at the highest levels of government.

They should be considered an ex-News organization after this.
Amen!
Ditto that! Drudge used to be my homepage but when it got so ad-intensive and cookie-intensive, i quit even visiting it.
The difference is this: the Republican Party is a political organization, and cannot, by definition, be impartial when it comes to the Democrats. CNN is a news organization, and must, by moral imperative, be impartial when it comes to the President.
When the Dems complained about what they thought was a reference to "RATS", they were being delusional. I swear, they are so thin-skinned, they search for things to pick fights over.
The following is a description of the adds in response to the Republicans response to the John Murtha remarks. The MoveOn.Org ads are scheduled to air nationally from Nov. 24 through Nov. 30.
The MoveOn.Org ad begins with a family at their Thanksgiving dinner table, bowing their heads in prayer. An announcer says "Some folks won't be home this holiday season" and the video cuts to a shot of soldiers in Iraq with mess kits. The ad then shows a photo of President Bush and Vice President Cheney and the announcer saying "Their president misled America to send them in and has no plan to get them out," and "Where are the Republicans?"
Who funds the MoveOn ads - they are expensive.
Exactly. Media outlets are by-and-large supposed to look out for the interests of it's viewers (the consumer), they are not supposed to be looking out for the Democrats.
Everyone knows that the RNC is going to say "this" or "that" about the Democrats and vice-versa.
George Soros
In the commercial it was at the end of "bureaucrats" not "democrats."
It was the end of the word "Bureaucrats", something both parties are.
Same thing
