CNN MARKS CHENEY: NETWORK FLASHES 'X' OVER VP'S FACE DURING LIVE SPEECH

At 11:04:45 AM ET Monday CNN was airing Vice President Dick Cheney's speech live from the American Enterprise Institute in Washington -- when a large black 'X' repeatedly flashed over the vice president's face!
The 'X' over Cheney's face appeared each time less than a second, creating an odd subliminal effect.
As this DRUDGE REPORT screen capture reveals, while one 'X' flashed over Cheney's face CNN ran a headline at the bottom of its screen: "CHENEY: I DO NOT BELIEVE IT IS WRONG TO CRITICIZE."
One top White House source expressed concern about what was aired over CNN.
"Is someone in Atlanta trying to tell us something?"
A CNN spokesman did not return repeated calls late Monday night.

It could have been. The thing that bothers me, though, is the fact that this wasn't a normal video feed. The only way it could have been created was to be animated frame-by-frame. The only way it could be seen was by someone who could step through each frame of video to see what was there.

That is what I thought too at first, but you will notice that you cant see his shoulder on the side where the word "Black" is. If you cant see his shoulder, then you cant see the wrinkles on the coat on the shoulder. you cant see the third "N" in "CNN" but you can clearly see the "C" and the first "N"

That's true. But, at the very least, the character generator had to be programmed to "flash" the text every 15 frames or so. And someone had to be monitoring the source, in order to perform the fade.
Probably hacked by some nerd Marxist technician who reads Norm Chomsky for pleasure, and who will be fired.
When I edit the picture, I can see the script better. What I want to do is print the picture with the brightness and contrast changed and try and trace the lettering, what can be seen anyways, But my printer is out of ink, sigh!
Can someone please tell me at what point in the 18:57 minute video the other X's occur?
They happen more often than you think. (Remember that CNN had the Columbia travelling at 17 time the speed of LIGHT when it broke up over Texas). I worked in broadcasting for 15 years and saw them quite frequently, and still do, especially on local newscasts. I made a few of the mistakes myself, and can tell you, no one who is working on the production end of it wants to make an on air screw up. Someone at CNN will lose their job over this, of that I have no doubt. I think CNN is very biased toward the liberal socialist end, but I don't see some great conspiracy going on here.
Well it is still posted on Drudge; and no doubt CNN fuming that it is headlined.
The catch 22 here; IMHO, is simply that to further this story; just imprints and exacerbates even further, a very dangerous message; and yet, to ignore it. . .invites a danger as well. . .
. . .as mentioned earlier; with friends like CNN et al. . .who needs a terror network threatening to destroy us.
Wonder if Drudge will pull it before morning. . .
