Court documents released today show that an 18-year-old murder suspect confessed to Lancaster police to murdering his girlfriend's parents and also that she went willingly with him after the killing, saying she wanted to marry him and start a new life.
The revelations were contained in documents released to the media as part of court proceedings in the double murder trial of David Ludwig. In light of the new evidence, the kidnapping charge he had been facing has now been dropped.

When they're orphans.
Absolutely not. He should be charged with statutory rape too.
Kara Borden's siblings should sue Kara, David Ludwig, and his parents for wrongful death.
That explains it. Would someone link to the criminal statute of kidnapping in PA please.
Kara Borden told detectives she left of her own free will, according to the filing. David Ludwig told detectives the two planned to get married and start a new life together.
In court documents filed in Pennsylvania, prosecutors said Kara Borden ran from her home to get into Ludwig's car after the Nov. 13 shootings.

Romeo and Juliet. Willy Shakespeare showed us human nature 400 yeas ago. Young lust. Why does this suprise anyone.
Either she's complicit in the murders or there is something fishy going on here.
I'm surprised at the surprise, too.
As Karl said upthread, it's a tale as old as time.
Ludwig (Louis) II, King of Bavaria, Ludwig Friedrich Wilhelm; sometimes known in English as "Mad King Ludwig" (August 25, 1845 - June 13, 1886) was king of Bavaria from 1864 until his death.
Born in Nymphenburg (today part of Munich), he was the son of Maximilian II of Bavaria and Princess Marie of Prussia. Ludwig was continually reminded of his royal power as a child, and his education swayed between being extremely spoiled on some occasions to being severely controlled by his protectors on others. This no doubt played a role in what later accounts describe as strange behavior.
I heard over the weekend on FOX News, that there are security camera recordings that showed her with Ludwig, and she did not appear to be in distress, or trying to get away.
It sounds like Kara's friend on the posted chat had that suspicion, IMHO.
sick!
I am NOT a lawyer, but from what I read, it's "Statutory sexual assault" in Pennsylvania now, and this would apply because "poor" Mr. Ludwig is more than 4 years older than she.
Less than one month more than four years...poor Mr. Ludwig.
Although I suspect Miss Borden was quite persuasive, and was quite inappropriate (sending nude photos, etc.), it does seem that responsibility must fall on him for keeping things appropriate, as he is the one of majority.
I guess they were both to stupid to realize that it is against God's law and the laws of the USA to murder two people.
....is anyone surprised????
Romeo should have wiped out the Capulets with his semi-automatic foil.

However, the statutory rape charge will be small potatoes considering he might face capital murder charges. IMHO though too many posters are willing to give this girl a pass, 14 is old enough to know right from wrong and she should have to face the music for the murders.
If she took part in the planning, I absolutely agree with you.
As for the kidnapping charge being dropped--deals are made all the time, and some charges get dropped. Statutory rape and kiddnapping might have been dropped in favor of going after the biggie--murder x2.
Exactly. Their talk about "the risk" Kara and David took and Kara's comment that she and David "would take care of it."
I also got the impression maybe they were talking about a pregnancy.
In court documents filed in Pennsylvania, prosecutors said Kara Borden ran from her home to get into Ludwig's car after the Nov. 13 shootings.
According to this, she ran off willingly with Ludwig and did nothing to help the parents. Her parents who did everything for her were left to bleed to death.
Tonight Judge Napolitano said if she's involved, the most Kara would probably get is a couple of years because of her age.
