Although I suspect Miss Borden was quite persuasive, and was quite inappropriate (sending nude photos, etc.), it does seem that responsibility must fall on him for keeping things appropriate, as he is the one of majority.

However, the statutory rape charge will be small potatoes considering he might face capital murder charges. IMHO though too many posters are willing to give this girl a pass, 14 is old enough to know right from wrong and she should have to face the music for the murders.

If she took part in the planning, I absolutely agree with you.

As for the kidnapping charge being dropped--deals are made all the time, and some charges get dropped. Statutory rape and kiddnapping might have been dropped in favor of going after the biggie--murder x2.

Agreed...if she's guilty (and I suspect she was at least somewhat involved.) However, the exact nature of her involvement is not known to us now...

For me, it's not about giving her a pass. If she was involved in the murder of her parents she should be tried as an adult and punished accordingly. That said, I really hope this isn't true. I'll admit that. It's almost unimaginable to think of a child doing something like this.
