Saw this this morning. It was a succinct evisceration of the all those attempting to change history by painting the president at a "liar".
History will have little mercy on the congress critters and MSM types attempting to make the "liar" charge stick.

Look for this speech to be broadcast primetime!/sarcasm
The MSM will then complain that the admin has not explained the war to the American people.

A couple of years from now they will all be saying how they were for the war in Iraq, and the MSM will collaborate on those statements and never point out their previous stand. See: their conduct during the Cold War and how they are now all anticommunists!

This speech should be made every week!
And every week there should be a progress report chart posted with the the number of schools, hospitals, roads and bridges etc. built since the overthrow of Saddam Hussein.
Cheney 2008!

Recently my friend and former colleague Jack Murtha called for a complete withdrawal of American forces now serving in Iraq, with a drawdown to begin at once. I disagree with Jack and believe his proposal would not serve the best interests of this nation. But he's a good man, a Marine, a patriot -- and he's taking a clear stand in an entirely legitimate discussion. Recently my Vice-President Dick Cheney called Jack Murtha a good man, a Marine, a patriot. I disagree with Dick and believe his former colleague Jack Murtha was emboldening the terrorist murderers in the Middle East. But despite our disagreement, Mr. Cheney is a good man and a patriot--and he's taking a clear stand in the War on Terrorism.

The terrorists believe that by controlling an entire country, they will be able to target and overthrow other governments in the region, and to establish a radical Islamic empire that encompasses a region from Spain, across North Africa, through the Middle East and South Asia, all the way to Indonesia. They have made clear, as well, their ultimate ambitions: to arm themselves with weapons of mass destruction, to destroy Israel, to intimidate all Western countries, and to cause mass death in the United States. Are the American surrender monkeys simply unable to grasp this, or are they willing to accept extinction in the long term in exchange for power in the short term?

Great speech. VP Cheney is probably the smartest guy in Washington. The Demorats and others who think it's acceptable to cut and run from Iraq are corrupt, vile, lying traitors. If it were up to them, we would have given up the fight and lost the Revolutionary War. If it were up to them, we would have allowed Hitler to take over Great Britain, and bomb New York and Washington. If it were up the them, the USSR would still exist and Saddam Hussein would still be torturing and murdering hundreds of thousands of people. If it were up the the Demorats, the U.S. would have been attacked several more times since 9/11, and our economy would be in total chaos. The Demorats are the Party of Defeat.

Anyone missing the speech this morning should check out C-Span tonight. I'd be surprised if it wasn't on again. It may be on over the next weekend also.
