VP Dick Cheney will be delivering a major response to the Dems who want to cut and run from Iraq in a LIVE speech from the Heritage Foundation. On C-span 1 at 11 AM, scheduled for one hour. and you can expect all the cable news nets to carry it...and then Rush is back today, and will explain it all for us again..and it would NOT surprise me if the Veep turns up as a special guest on Rush's show today..

Why do politicians never refer to the previous President by name in statements like this one? I would think that messages like these would be more effective if Presidents' names were mentioned.

You're ABSOLUTELY right about where our problems lie. The MSM has declared war on our president and our country's interest. Don't be fooled. They are still very powerful. The 2004 election would have been a landslide if they would have reported facts not their opinions and had not tried to embarass Bush at every opportunity. We are in another War. Us vs the MSM.

They have nothing to do with the "mainstream" and until we start calling it what it is, we will make no headway, IMO.
They are the ENEmy MEDIA. I feel I have made some enemies by reclassifying the term, but I can handle it. Much like the "none dare call it treason" crowd cowering in their corners afraid to call it what it is.
The only recourse as I see it is create a USA Today type of paper, with the same distribution channels. Take AP, Reuters and KRT news service articles and edit them to tell the truth.
There was one posted on FR a little while ago. I'll see if I can find it.

I am not sure if there is already something like this available. Imagine if this paper showed up at your hotel room when you were on the road.
I sent this to Rupert Murdoch about three years back and never heard anything. I believe that the distribution channels are already in place. It is just a question of getting the editors and I believe that there are enough people that could work on this as a collective effort.
Advertising wouldn't be that difficult.

Bush lost Wisconsin, Washington and Pennsylvania by less votes than he won Ohio. It was much closer to a landslide than it was for a Kerry win.
And CNN called Ohio green with Bush up by 130,000 votes. They gave it to Wisconsin early with Bush down 11,000 votes.
