[history]
At least one Arab television media outlet reported that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the head of the al-Qaida in Iraq, was killed in Iraq on Sunday afternoon when eight terrorists blew themselves up in the in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.
The unconfirmed report claimed that the explosions occurred after coalition forces surrounded the house in which al-Zarqawi was hiding.
WASHINGTON, Nov 20 (Reuters) - U.S. authorities are looking into whether al Qaeda in Iraq leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was killed in a gunfight in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, a U.S. official said on Sunday, but a White House spokesman said that was "highly unlikely."

They could stuff all the various little pieces into a plastic bag and decorate it with the head on top and put it on display (like Uday and Qusay). I understand that when they use those suicide belts the head is usually blown off but remains relatively intact. As long as the other bombs didn't destroy it, that would work.
We have plenty of DNA to use because his family still lives in Jordan and the king would make sure they decided to cooperate. Especially since Z-cow threatened the king last week.

Good morning.
"Count the feet, and divide by two."
Didn't the hopefully late Z-man have only one leg. So, count the feet, divide by two and if you come up with an odd number, start celebrating. If it turns out to not be him, so what. We could still have a party.

I'm not sure if it fits the timing. But calling for a hit on the King of Jordan may have been a retaliation call for a hit on their leader.

YW, its looks better than some of the past dead Z threads.
Especially in light of his family renouncing him.

The NYT headline on Zarkawi's death will be:
Zarkayi's Death Inflames Mid-East Against Bush.

Debka is reporting that one of the terror leaders was a woman, which is quite fascinating...
Of course, Debka isn't completely reliable, but they do get things right from time to time.
My gut feeling is that Zarqawi is not dead, because if he was, the media would be talking about it, I think. After all, he's been "killed" before.
He's going to lose his freedom very quickly if he's stupid enough to be in Iraq, and not in Syria. Though his terrrorists have been demoralized, and are facing major money problems. Maybe he can't lead effectively unless he is near the "front lines" ?

When I hear about the raid in Mosul yesterday, and the spontaneous combustion of the jihadi combatants, this was my first thought.
Pray it's true.

I wish. But, I doubt he has the guts to blow himself up under any circumstances.Maybe our troops have a device to call all the cell phones in the local ares... one of which was connected to an IED stored in the house awaiting deployment.
