Several soldiers just died in Iraq. It was just announced. Did they die thinking Americans and politicians in Washington don't support them? Did they die wishing freepers and people like us were pushing our Republican Congressmen to stand up for them?

Forget the MSM paid polls. All one has to do is look at the recent votes in the House and the Senate.

There is some erosion in support, but it isn't as bad as the polls suggest.

BTW both Murtha and that guy from N.C. (Jones?) have been anti war for awhile. Their remarks are nothing new. Yet the media makes it seem like they are.

but by professional polling organizations

NO, NO, NO. The "News Media" crafts it own polls. The polling groups merely conducts the poll based on the paying groups chosen standards That is why the CNN/Gallup poll and the Gallup poll are NOT the same poll. That is why they do NOT use a set standard and sample. They play with their sample to get the spin lie they want. As I have pointed out several times. Why did Gallop switch to "Anyone over 18" polling? Why did they increase the self described Democrat and Independent Sample by 1/3 while decreasing the Republican sample?

Real simple, they WANTED to manufacture bad Bush polling data. It is NOT an intellectually defensible polling tactic by anyone wanting an accurate sample of public opinion. As I pointed out in my last post, there ARE ways to get an accurate sample, strangely when you read the internals of any of the Media polls, none of those polling criteria are being followed. Why is that?

Over-react to Democratic spin and timid? Who are you talking about?

Ollie North? Freepers who have family IN Iraq and know that morale is low?

Because Carter is focused on success and his presidency was a proven failure? Because he won the presidential election but failed to govern our country?

I remember some political discussions during that period too. One was whether or not a single person was able to be president because it was SO hard and there were SO many things a president had to be on top of.

Well for me Friday was super-special. We finally got some payback when it counts. When the rats are forced to take a stand on an issue, any issue, something they seldom do.

The liberals have sold the "Carter was good, Clinton was great" idea because they are well trained in repeating sound bites.

Carter is the kind old habitat volunteer who with his wife, lives to help people build houses and to help nations have honest election. He won the noble peace prize, don't you know? One or all of those accolades proceeds every Carter introduction and the intro has stuck with the majority of the American people.

Clinton was the engineer of the great economic boom train of the 1990s. Have you heard there was a surplus when he was president? That's the mantle or mantra that is repeated over and over.

In your earlier post you were aggravated with your brother & others who aren't paying attention....but maybe they are paying attention, but only to the sound bites.

I'm well aware of Murtha and how the media operates so dishonestly.

Did you read what Ollie North has had to say about sinking morale in Iraq?

Forget the polls. Pretend even Fox News had a completely biased poll and ignore it.

Are you going to ignore Ollie North? Ignore those of us with kids right now IN the military?

Face it. He didn't make the war his main priority and now he has been caught out.

If you mean that he didn't make the war his priority for communication, I agree with you. I believe the military is doing everything it can, but with the kind of political firestorm that the Democrats are nursing now, it will be difficult for the President to retake the political highground. Yet he must, but he needs the Republicans in Congress to do their part.

What else would Christmas cards say other than Happy Christmas or do some in the US say Happy Holidays. I have noticed some in the UK have Happy Xmas they never get used if I have bought a multipack.

All of our Congresscritters will be spending a lot of time at home over the next 6 weeks...because of the holidays..

but, that doesn't mean we need to give them time off. I think we should deluge our congresscritters with calls and mail to let them know that we expect the tone in Washington to change...

And that especially should be sent loud and clear to the GOP. I for one am very disappointed in Cornyn and Hutchison for voting for Warner's Amendment...

and I am unhappy that Joe Barton, my representative, let the ANWR drilling be removed from the House budget resolution...and they will all three hear from me during their "time off".

BTW....YOU KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING...I have always been a fan of yours, but I am really impressed with your posts lately, your thoughts, and your passion.

Thank you.

So apparently I was misled. FoxNews does its own polling? Why then does Fox show similar if not worse results than the others? BTW, in an extensive coverage of Fox polls the other day, they also showed the questions asked, and they appeared to be pretty straight-forward to me.

It's a little of both

Some things I can understand not knowing because the media REFUSES to report on it

But other things like the plane that China forced down and held our soldiers hostage?? .. he had no idea that happened

Happy Holidays is popular and there are others, such as refering to the Holiday Season. From the last time I was looking at them a few weeks ago, fewer had Merry Christmas on them than not, and many that did had angles as well.
