I wonder also if he has to be more careful on TV than in Congress I would suspect in Congress he has some sort of privilege but outside would he not be subject to some form of libel laws if he came out point blank saying the President lied.

Great point and one I never thought of.

My guess is that the president (unforunately IMO) would consider it stooping too low to file a libel suit, but after his speech about re-writing history, Cheney's confrontational and accusatory speech (loved it) and most of all Friday's directly confrontational vote crammed down their dishonest, America-hating throats, can they ever be sure of themselves again...

I totally agree. As a dose poster and regular on the thread other days I see day after day the President making statements/press availabilities etc yet the most you can hope for is a 10 - 15 second snip on FNC. Thankfully many on the White House Website have either audio or video view available.

Hayworth is a very articulate and effective spokesman for the Republican Party. Which is why you will never see him booked on the network talk shows - they won't put him on.

He does a lot of talk radio though. And our guy Kyl is good as well, and he does a lot of talk radio. Wish Kyl would run for Pres. He has a good illegal alien plan that says we'll talk "guest worker program" ONLY AFTER the border crossings are enforced. Bush don't like that so well, nor does our other Senator!!

I find it astounding that the only word people heard in Jean Schmidt's words was "coward" and it's immediately assumed she meant Murtha is a coward. The military guy she was quoting wasn't calling anyone a coward, he was saying that the troops are NOT cowards.

I could scream when I hear some handsome pundit say this. They don't speak for me.

This morning Michael Isaliar was on Chrissie Matthews' show and was going on about unhappy the American people were with the Iraqi war. What gives this guy, what right does he have, to make such a broad statement?

Which is a lie by the way and any good journalist would have asked, "If the American people are so mad about how the war was going why did their representatives in America's House of Representative vote so overwhelmingly not to remove our troops?"

But, ah, we're talking Chrissie.

Heard some scoop on Chrissie by the way. Seems his MSNBC handlers told him he better damn sight be right about this Natasha Plame thing. Seems Chrissie told him he was positive and would lead right on up to Cheney. Seems Woodward's recent revelation might be the death of Chrissie. Just idle rumor but thought I'd pass it along.

I believe that right now is the time to send our Pubbie Army out and stop them dead in their tracks. It is the Thanksgiving Week coming up and People think of Home,Family and our Guys and gals that cannot be home for Thanksgiving or Christmas. There will never be a better time for the President and all his people to get out front and shame these shameless Lefties. I will do anything I can by New Years Day to make these Lefties eat crow, or worse. Football,Bowl Games, Holidays, God,Midnight Mass, Parades,Presents,Good will. This is the time for the Dems to go in hiding because the American people do not want to hear their negative belligerent horsecrap.

Fox has Hayworth on a lot as well. But that's about the extent of his media appearances. Effective GOP spokespeople are all but blacklisted in the rest of the media.
