I could scream when I hear some handsome pundit say this. They don't speak for me.
This morning Michael Isaliar was on Chrissie Matthews' show and was going on about unhappy the American people were with the Iraqi war. What gives this guy, what right does he have, to make such a broad statement?
Which is a lie by the way and any good journalist would have asked, "If the American people are so mad about how the war was going why did their representatives in America's House of Representative vote so overwhelmingly not to remove our troops?"
But, ah, we're talking Chrissie.
Heard some scoop on Chrissie by the way. Seems his MSNBC handlers told him he better damn sight be right about this Natasha Plame thing. Seems Chrissie told him he was positive and would lead right on up to Cheney. Seems Woodward's recent revelation might be the death of Chrissie. Just idle rumor but thought I'd pass it along.
hmmmmmmm
NO WONDER Chrissy has pracitally become apoplectic ever night covering the "CIA LEAK SCANDAL"....
Even last week, when the votes in the House and Senate were so interesting and important...he still stuck with his same show...all CIA, all the time.
Terminology along the lines of The Peoples Republic of America is a subtle attempt to elevate altruism and the collective over individuality, capitalism and our market economy.
IF government actions are in the name of "the people" it MUST be okay and the right thing to do. Environmentalists are seen as selfless while property owners seen as greedy and selfish.
It all begins with brainwashing children in public schools and television into believing collectivism is a desirable goal for society, and shaping their political philosophy early in life.
Change will come if and when child bearing adults begin to control the education establishment and require change, IMHO
The big problem is that they think they can turn it on and off, and be impartial reporters one day and partisan hacks the next.
Term limits is not just for elected officials. It's for the entire Court of St. James.
