Fauci, director, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases; Dr. Mike Ryan, director, Epidemic and Pandemic Alert and Response Department of the World Health Organization.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld; Sens. Richard Lugar, R-Ind., and Chris Dodd, D-Conn.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld.
Even O'reilly got angry with Hagel's Bish criticism and offered him chance to coreect himself but Hagel blundered badly that in the next segment Dick Morris said "with friends like Hagel, Bush don't need any enemies".
Murtha wants to "re-deploy the troops to the periphery". And what countries would that be? Iran? Syria? Saudi Arabia? HA
I'm watching Rummy have Steffie for lunch. He read something from an article by James Fallows, which I couldn't understand. I felt better when Rummy said he couldn't figure out what he was talking about either.
It's remarks like that, that make me curse under my breath when I see him.
I know! They've raved on about this for literally YEARS and it didn't win them much, yet they can't let go of it.
Agree. The difference in decorum in the House is about the same as it is during talk shows, press conferences, etc. The Dims interrupt, scream, talk over other guests, take words out of context, and screech in shrill voices (some of Hitlery's speeches come to mind). I suspect a lot of Americans weren't able to watch during the time it was on, but, hopefully, some of them caught it.
Ok by me as long as McCain & Bidens can't run for office anymore.
Quite possibly the post of the day.
Poor Jean Schmitt, the newest member of the House, and she is subjected to that...
First, she has to beat an veteran from Iraq, that was given all of the publicity, and the talking points from MOVEON., and now, she is attacked on the House floor, for just repeating something she was asked to do...by a Marine corporal...
Isn't it sad, also, that Fox has continued to use HER speech to talk about the debate...but I don't remember seeing any footage of Sam Johnson's speech.
BTW...wouldn't FAT Timmy been more FAIR, if he had put Sam Johnson on opposite Murtha today???
Totally off the point - one night my grandson needed an article for class. Google, etc, did not help. I came on FR and searched - found exactly what he needed, and in the correct time frame. Thanks JR!
I have to get off now too.
Rummy is on FNC and he is fantastic. He needs to be on these shows more often. He absolutely nails Wallace and makes the best agruments for what we are doing, why, and how it's going.
Rummy also clarified the point that WE ARE TURNING IT OVER to the Iraqis NOW!
So much, again, for Democrat claims they are causing anything that is happening in Iraq.
Great post helps explain the lead up to Friday vote.
California.
I wonder if this has anything to do with the "sloppy Seconds" comments by John Roberts? Then again could it be that the women can get away with being more nasty and abrasive and disrespectful than the Males? We know that the Media's poll numbers are lower than a snake's underbelly.
Just listened to Murtha on Meet the Press. All of the same hind sighted crap was dished out again. Murtha states what a "wonderful" job G.H.W.Bush did in 1990-91. The buffoon doesn't get, or doesn't want to admit, that we are cleaning up for failures to execute an effective response to Sadam way back then.
That term is older than Bob Novak!
It is congress critters like this who convince me we need term limits. The founding fathers never intended for the Congress to become a career, it was designed to give a lot of different people the opportunity to serve a couple of years and then go back to their other life and get some fresh blood. We the voters should make sure no one makes a career out of it. It is our responsibility and duty to vote the dinasours out before they become a problem and a liability. Unfortunately I don't see how we can accomplish that anymore without term limits.
Yes, I've seen him on TV quite a bit (though not lately). I never cared for him. Always thought he was a bit of an obnoxious jerk.
"The roundtable on Stephy keeps talking about how "The American People" expect to see progress and we need to see that benchmarks have been set and accomplished..."
Count me in as one of the American people who expect to see progress in Iraq reported.....unfortunately, my idea of progress has to do with our victory in the war.....the media's does not.
To the media, uncovering some sleazy pics from Abu Garaib and playing them up endlessly for weeks as the lead story is progress.
To me, successfull Iraqi battles, elections etc are "progress" but I'm luck if those stories make it to a second day!
