What our Commander in Chief has led us to in Iraq
ABC News ^ | 19, NOvember 2005 | Jeff Head

Edited on 11/19/2005 10:06:39 AM PST by Lead Moderator. [history]

Regarding Senator John Kerry's comments this morning (November 19, 2005) on Good Morning America's Weekend edition, where he said of President Bush and the War in Iraq, "What we need is a little more commander-in-chief, and a little less campaigner-in-chief,”...let's see, Mr. Kerry, President Bush took us to war in Iraq as the Commander in Chief. In the midst of that war, he defeated you in a presidential election where this very issue was the principle part of the deabte...and he defeated you with the largest voter turnout in the history of this country, by a clear majority. In that time and since, our military and diplomats, under his command and leadership, have:

  1. Completed the fastest, most effective military advance in military history.
  2. Defeated the 4th or 5th largest military in the world in quick fashion.
  3. Freed 30 million people from abject tyranny.
  4. Deposed one of the most ruthless tyrants of the last fifty years, along with his Ba'athist party.
  5. Destroyed all attempts by the remaining Ba'athists and their terrorist allies to regain the upper hand, killing the tyrant's two sons and capturing him in the process.
  6. Secured the vast majority of the nation and handed sovereignty back to the Iraqi people on schedule.
  7. Held the 2nd largest, freest vote in Iraqi history to vote on their own interim government, in the face of and despite terrorist attempts to thwart and disrupt that process.
  8. Had the interim Iraqi government develop and introduce a republican constitution on schedule, in the face of and despite terrorist attempts to thwart and disrupt that process.
  9. Held the largest free vote in Iraqi history to approve the constitution that the interim government proposed, with even the Sunni minority now participating in that vote, in the face of and despite terrorist attempts to thwart and disrupt that process.
  10. Assisted the Iraqis themselves in putting the former tyrant on trial for his crimes.
  11. Are preparing for what will undoubtedly be the new largest vote in Iraqi history to elect their own government under their new constitution, again, in the face of and despite terrorist attempts to thwart and disrupt that process.
  12. Trained an Iraqi military that is now actively taking major support and lead roles in fighting for their own free nation against their terrorist enemies, losing many more of their own lives, and spilling more of their own blood in that process than our own soldiers.
No, Mr. Kerry, your lame attempts to paint this historical mission and tremendous victory in negative terms and throw that negativity on the very leader who had the foresight and the commitment, in the face of abject corrupt opposition abroad and here at home, do not "carry" (or should that be "Kerry") any weight of moral certitude whatsoever. These attempts by yourself and others to try and use your political position to influence us to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory and, "cut and run", are nothing Moore than odorous political gas passing in the wind.

"I love Dubya... But his P.R. stinks."

Same problem his father had, and why we ended up with the Philanderer-In-Chief.

ALL: Sorry for all ofthe typos and all. I was just so upset over these events that I banged this out in response to another's comments and then posted it myself as a new thread.

I will ask the moderators to post a corrected one later. But I have to go right now though.

We need billboards everywhere with this message so the windbag Dems will begin to stop the global warming from their hot air.

Amen!

We need to find a definitive soundbite that can be used to shut the Dims up.

As was said of the left last night by another Freeper or two but I'll reword it a bit.

Sex with the John Kerry would not be very satisfying...it would end early with a pullout and a premature evacuation.

I'd love to define sex with a Republican, but I have a reputation as a lady in some circles ! )

To the Dims:
Neener neener neener

So I wonder, just how they feel about being cornered and out manuvered? Suicidal you think? There ought to be just a thousand quotes from outraged Dims this weekend to keep the GOP busy throwing back at them for years!!!

SO when can we do it again???

But his P.R. stinks.

I agree ... it's terrible.  Why can't he get the truths, like the ones posted here, out there?

He needs a new PR machine, no doubt.  The demmies make a lot of stupid noise but at least their barking does get out to the people ... for those that actually care about their point on view.
