Congresswoman Schmidt's fantastic "cowards surrender, Marines never do!" THAT ONE will be on all the ads, you can believe it. (And it doesn't matter that she "withdrew" her remarks: they are still playing it on the tube). She is in the district next to mine, and I'm glad those fine people in Hamilton County sent her to Congress and not DeWine the lesser.

Jean Schmidt is my congress critter ... she's certainly making a name for herself ... in a very positive way if you're a Pubbie. I voted for her; I'm sure her remarks on the floor last evening will guarantee this first term congresswoman many more terms. Especially in this area of southern Ohio.

I think it might be wise for GWB to ask for time to address Congress in prime time, on TV, very soon. Take as much time as necessary and lay out his whole line of thinking for Congress and the public. It could go a long way in turning things around for him.

I think your analysis is right on. This is actually stategy rather than acquiesence to the leftist Democrats cry of the day. I so hope they will keep it up! It is apparent that all the Democrats want is air time/face time to say ugly mean things in a "civil" way and let the comments hang in the media air for as long as possible. They don't have to mean what they say and they don't want to be accountable for anything they say. This vote put them on record and gave them a chance to ante up. It is great. I hope we see more of this. The only reason they were so mad is their hand got called. Hit when they are down.

I have to admit I somewhat agree with murtha. I think that after the election several divisions of US troops should begin to leave Iraq, and move into damacus and the becca valley. The move should follow several thousand missiles and moabs bringing the number of required virgins up to 72,000,000. We will be welcomed into syria as liberators {by the Israelis and Lebanese}.
