Yeah, you know people forget that Jesus WILL kick butt in the future, and it will not be pretty. Don't know about your position on the "Left Behind" books, but I think the "Glorious Appearing" or whatever the last one is called has a PHENOMENAL image of how it will be.

Moreover, the pacifist type priests that populate my university must never have read John 1:1, because if Jesus was there IN BEGINNING, then He was there when God was telling the Israelites to "smite" (ie, kill) every man, woman, and child of AI, among other cities and the only thing Jesus could possibly say to that was "yes" and "amen."

Possibly. I haven't really looked at the districts. But we only last election gained a few seats back from a much larger majority we had in 1994, so perhaps 30 is possible, perhaps a tad high.

FYI, the local rag, AJC in Atlanta had nothing AT ALL about the vote that I could find in their on-line edition this morning. It did, however, have a headline about congress voting for a Rosa Parks statue and about Bush rejecting an Iraqi pullout.

The AJC's circulation is down by over 8% and Cynthia Tucker ran an editorial about Bush's lies re Iraq. Go figure.

Again, we must ignore the MSM. This vote was in NO WAY directed at the MSM. It was directed at splitting the House Dems from the Moonbat base. And believe me, they followed the vote. Go to DU!

"On an off topic note, has anyone ever seen Nancy Pelosi blink?"

There are two possible explainations for that beady eyed, non blinking stare. Firstly, the rumor that she is doresn't just think with her reptilian hindbrain may not be the whole story. Reptiles don't blink - might this be the reason for her not blinking?

Hollyweird has been looking for a stolen Stepford wife robot - hmmmmn.

I predict you will get a stereophonic answer as he speaks out of both sides of his mouth.

It is easy if you have a forked tongue; ask him. ;-)

"Right. So when the GOP does something brilliant, it's only because it's "cornered," and when it does nothing, it's "cowardly." You're as useful as the Dems. I can get that analysis at moveon.org."

Well smack me silly. I had no idea you were that depressed, or I certainly would have lied to you.

And I had no idea you were that incredibly cynical. Like I say, that depth of analysis is available at Michael Moore's website any day.

He (Pres. Bush) is not the problem, the media and dem's are.

Maybe with such an extreme vote, the America people will get it and push the dem's back to buffalo.

The GOP forced the Dems to choose between the general election next year and the primaries, and the Dems chose the general election. The result will be threefold: 1) a dramatic decrease in funding of the Dems across the board, but especially the House members' campaigns (as if Dean wasn't hurting them enough in that area anyway); 2) a decrease in the committed volunteers from the Michael Moore/Moveon/Moonbat wing; and 3) probably the most serious, intense challenges in the primaries for many of these incumbents from the left. By the way, for all the Rush Limbaugh bashers on the board, this was precisely the strategy that Rush recommended before he left on break: MAKE the Dems become more extreme and cater to their base even more.
Very astute observation, IMHO; the Plame smear went nowhere; the bribery smear will have to go nowhere because it mostly smears the Dhimmicrats; the DeLay smear may succeed, but if it does, there will be payback, not least at the polls; the NSA smear backfired bigtime, even though the partisan media shills are trying to keep it going to try manufacture consent (a phrase from the reprehensible Noam Chomsky), a strategy that will further backfire by further radicalizing the base and alienating it from other votes who can see how crazy it is and how crazy they are.

Well, thanks! Actually, that was pretty astute. Drudge has a story that the GOP is outraising the Dems 3:1; and we know that the moonbats are tremendously upset with Hillary and the "centrist" Dems for not breaking over the war. Kennedy and Leahy are trying to recoup a little with the Alito hearings, but to no avail, because they can't stop them.

This same issue, however---the war---is now being replayed over the NSA powers, and Bush/the GOP can win big again by forcing the Dems further left. Bush should MAKE THEM oppose the NSA and wiretapping AQ's phones. Let's see how far that flies.

BTW, when I wrote that, I had predicted the GOP would have a net gain of one Senate seat. Right now, that seems a certainty (lose PA, win MD and MN), but just a little shift can rescue Santorum in PA and bring Nelson's seat in FL into our column, giving us a net of three!!

What amuses me is how much less talk there is from the Dhimmicrats about how stupid or uneducated or inarticulate the President is. It only took them five years of getting spanked no matter what they tried, before they finally figured out that they are merely venal, arrogant, and easy to manipulate. Hillary's pandering is alienating them now -- also she doesn't care whether they like her, she knows they are already in her column because they won't vote for a Republican, and it was the extreme Left who blame Nader for undermining Al "Animatronics" Gore in 2000. She'll look for the sweet spot in the middle, even though everything she says is a lie -- unless we count wanting to raise taxes and trying to ram a one-size-fits-all alleged health care plan down everyone's throats.

But the disgust is building among the Dhimmicrats for 2006, so I think all we have to do is show up and vote, and they'll take yet another beating. That will further enrage the leftist base, and make Hillary's strategy even more successful. She's the beeotch to beat.

True, so far. But the "plantation" comments hurt her more than it appeared at first. Two years is a long time, but none of the movement, at any level, is in the Dems' favor.

In the long run, yes, the Dhimmicrats are diminishing themselves through their persistent devotion to undermining freedom at home and sovereignty abroad. Hillary's not going to go down with that ship. Even if she were elected to the presidency, which isn't unlikely at this point, she will have next to no coattail effect, and will be stuck with two houses of Congress even more Republican than now. However, she'll probably be able to veto conservative legislation with impunity, and the next president (no matter whom it will be) may get to name three SCOTUS justices.
