Given the apparent standards of contemporary academia, it would be my guess that most home schooled 12-year-olds are already schooled beyond the college level.

Not the answer. We need to teach our kids to stand up to this crap . . . and have their backs when they do.

It's worse than you think. There's a lot going on in curriculum development in colleges that would have parents protesting--if they knew about it. There's a move underfoot to standardize all curriculum in all colleges. It's being driven by Education Testing Services out of Princeton (the people who run the SAT). They are in cahoots with the Mid-Atlantic accreditation group (I forget the exact name) and they are forcing colleges and universities to restructure their curriculum to an outcomes-based format. These schools have been hiring personnel to get this program into place. If they don't, they will not receive their accreditation. It's scarier than you know.

It's here my friend. It's called the Internet. Little did Algore realize when he invented it what a tool it would become for those of us who wish to keep their little communist revisionist-history-writing minions out of our kid's heads.

How about on line?

Check out Robert Welch University. Liberal Arts education from an Americanist point of view available on line.

It's here already. You can get AA, BA, BS or MA degrees via correspondence or virtual courses from a number of accredited universities. Just look up distance learning and read the thousandes of hits you get. I'm not referring to diploma mills, either. Penn State, for one, offers such a degree program, as does U Mass and others. The list is quite extensive.
