To the few common-sense parents left in California, you should either:
a) move out of the state, or
b) sign over ALL parental rights over to the State because they're gonna steal 'em from you anyway.
Thank God I don't live in California...

Good, now a teacher has the right to have children play act being Christians for a few weeks. After all, as the 9th circus ruled, it's not forcing any religion on anyone

"On the final exam they were asked to critique elements of Muslim culture."
I want to see a copy of that exam.

Christian students and parents cannot sue a school district where some seventh-graders pretended to be Muslims for three weeks during a course in world history, a federal appeals court ruled Thursday. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said the role-playing game was not a religious exercise that violated anybodys constitutional rights.
I thought perhaps you all might be interested in the latest....and I kinda think it fits in with the "Happy Holiday" "Holiday Tree" theme.

Can Congress just create a new 9th circuit (or a 9th, 10th and 11th) and just fire the old judges? Do you need impeachment for that?

Brooke Carlin encouraged her students to play at being Muslims - adopt Muslim names, recite a line from a prayer According to Islamic law, anyone who recites the Shahada ("There is no *** but Allah and Mohammed is his *****") becomes a Muslim. That is the method of conversion.
If you were tricked into saying it, it is up to a Sharia court to decide if you are an apostate who deserves the death penalty.

Thanks for the ping. The 9th Circus is insane, and so is California. The latest is that Meathead (Rob Reiner) has enough ballot signatures to get an initiative on at the next election for increased taxes on the "rich" (which to a dem is anyone making over $30,000/year) for government-funded daycare!!! Daycare!! Can you believe it!?!?! We're f***ing nuts out here!

I'm SURE the ACLU will be all over this! When this story first broke a couple of years ago, I e-mailed the ACLU at their referral address on their website and suggested they may want the case, and that it would be good for them to take, since people thought they just went after Christianity. I was SO surprised that they never replied...

Brooke Carlin encouraged her students to play at being Muslims - adopt Muslim names, recite a line from a prayer If they recited the shahada they can be considered converts to islam.
Oh and you know what the penalty for leaving islam is.
Wonder if they explained that to these kids.

that's above my paygrade. LOL
but according to Mark Levin they could eliminate it and start over...
they're already talking about splitting the 9th Circus.
