I have been lame with a bad knee for a couple of weeks but now it is OK and I rode my bicycle today for the first time.
Wonderful the way we heal.

The President and his VP should have done this a long time ago. The hell with the new tone. Democrats will never allow a new tone.

You know it is sad when the opposition is so shrill and such liars that you have to do that. Seems I do it everytime a Democrat comes on except Zell Miller.

Wolfstar, do you find it as disingenuous as I do that the conservative pundits and bloggers who so viciously attacked the President for nominating Miers, strongly implying that he had lied when he said he would nominate only very conservative, capable people for the Supreme Court, are now on the warpath at the Democrats for calling the President a liar?

Not until the conservative pundits and bloggers attacked the President, and then crowed mightily that they forced him to back down, did "the President lied" gain traction in the media.

The two-faced self-righteousness of those people make me physically ill, because at one time I believed them to have the integrity they seemed to have.

Not one of them have the character and honesty that President Bush has. Not even one.

Welcome to reality. It's all a game, and they are ALL on the same team. It's all about POWER and how to keep it.

Your observation is very astute. I agree. The so-called conservative punditocracy did enormous harm. What I find interesting is that they claim they wanted to fight a confirmation battle. They wanted a chance to explain to the American people their view of the correct role of the court.

Well, where are they now? They caved at the very first step in the fight when Specter scheduled the hearings for January. How come they didn't scream about that and insist the hearings be held sooner? There's no valid reason why they couldn't have been held this month or in early December. The long interval gives the Left/Dems plenty of time to find ways to derail the nomination.

Wolfie, there's plenty of flu vaccine.

In our locale, they are giving the shot to anyone who shows up when announce a "flu shot clinic" or at the local grocery stores.

Since you have asthma, I would think that your Doc would want you to get it.

The problem is that they aren't really making it easy to find out where to get it but most grocery stores are holding "It's Nov. but we still have vaccine" days --half days where Nurses show up in the Pharmacies of local grocery stores.
