*************
I'm curious to hear about this as well.
Once incident is shortsighted. Two constitutes a "pattern or practice"
All this is nothing but the continuation of the policies of Daddy Bush, James Baker, King Ahab Klinton, Warren Christopher, and Madeline Halfbright! If there are any differences between the policies toward Israel and the Jihadstinians by these various players, they seem well hidden.
Condi's statment shows that she needs to change her meds.
Rice has come out of the closet and shown all the world that she too hates Jews. It's sad, I expected so much more than that out of her.
That statement is so risible as to be beneath contempt. Please put the bong down and back slowly away from the keyboard.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
Incident of what?
There is simply no reason to draw the conclusion that Condi hates Jews because Condi is pursuing American foreign policy objectives which will, in the end, separate Israelis from murderous Palestinians.
They don't get along because the Pallies have an infantile, murderous political culture, like most Arabs.
This is a policy of separation, period. Rice is pursuing the best hand that is available.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
Incidents of telling the Israelis not to defend themselves against terrorists - in direct conflict with the established US policy, by the way (Road Map).
The policy of this administration is the Road Map, under which Israel has no obligations before the Palestinians stop terrorism.
This is official USG foreign policy. The WH is responsible for its formulation and Condi implements it.
Either cite for me a quote where she says "Don't defend yourself against terrorists." or leave your editorial distortions out of it. Let's try it again, what are her sins?

Read 'em and weep.
Doesn't match your hyperbole, not even close.
Ah, so now that my basic point has been established as truth, it's my choice of words that offends you. Too bad, the truth hurts.
You'd have no problem seeing this as the anti-semitic initiative it is if it were ISM or Amnesty International making that demand.
It actually doesn't even matter because Blair will pull out of Iraq if we don't support him in his desire to see a Palestine created. So, the decision is already made and made by someone other than us. Our Israel policy is written up on Downing Street.
The White House always
urges Russia to talk with
Chechens. They're nuts, too.
Can't say the White House
hates Russians. Politics just
makes for posturing.
You dishonor the lives of millions who died under real anti-Semitism, just so you can have a position that's free from criticism. Sickening.

The pattern is well-established by now, so I have no reservations about calling a spade a spade. This administration doesn't get the (lame, insufficient) excuse that it's merely following a decades-old US policy, because none of the previous policymakers lived in a post-9/11 world - her predecessors at least had the excuse of ignorance. Rice is actively advocating for the interests of (the world's most virulent and barbaric) terrorists in a post 9/11 world. But oddly enough it is *only* in Israel where this demand is made. No similar demand for Iraq to allow people to cross from Syria and Iran; no similar demand on Sri Lanka, the Philippines, France, or Russia or any other nation.
On its face Rice is pursuing a very antisemitic policy, and given the appearance and the history the burden is on those who say it is not to give a substantial reason why it is not.
Ho! Did I say "Nazis"? Not every anti-semite is a Nazi. You're reading things into my posts which I have not said or implied. (Not that the Palis wouldn't gleefully conduct a Final Solution if they had the opportunity.)
The creation of a Palestinian state will lead to the destruction of Israel.
It actually doesn't even matter because Blair will pull out of Iraq if we don't support him in his desire to see a Palestine created. So, the decision is already made and made by someone other than us. Our Israel policy is written up on Downing Street.

Oh yea, you hear that all the time on FR, what date/year did these agreements originate? When did Blair originally ask us to do his bidding in Israel?
