As an entity without a state, Palestine was pretty much free to anything they wanted since Israel could not declare war against something as ethereal as the Palestinian people. Now they have a state, they have all the responsibilities and risks associated with that recognition. Their people may not respond to international mediation tactics, but their government will.

The Palestinians seem to be determined to NEVER develop into a viable state with a stable government.

Then Israel will tire rapidly with the attacks, declare war, and exercise their international rights under existing treaties. The UN will negotiate an end to the war and acquire responsibilities for the disarmament of the Palestinians. Either way, Israel gets the policing of Palestine off their backs and Palestine gets international peacekeepers.

I suppose if someone was an enemy of Israel there is more than one way to go about destroying her and taking what is rightfully hers.

The obvious enemies just claim it and say it is theirs and all that follows.

Other enemies may hide behind the above and have them do the dirty work while giving the world an impression of otherwise, sort of killing two birds with one stone, using enemies to destroy each other, then when they are done and they are done with using them, march in for the conquering.

I'm not sure this is so. She is just following the party line, not caring what really happens either way. That is the WORST kind of politician. I would rather have an enemy at the gate than an ally that goes with the flow. At least you know where your enemy stands.

There is absolutely nothing to suggest that providing the PLO with sovereign rule over Israel's ancient heartland is going to bring any security to the Jewish state. Without exception, all the evidence points to the opposite outcome.

The creation of a Palestinian state will lead to the destruction of Israel.

Understanding the history of what has happened to Jewish people particularly in the Twentieth Century; knowing that history is why a Jewish state even exists in the Middle East; and knowing Dr. Rice's policies and determination to promote the Arab agenda - that would make Dr. Rice, an anti-Semite.

It appears to me that she is acting autonomously. The "Israel must restrain itself" line is not consistent with the President's Road Map, under which Israel has no obligations before the Palestinians end terrorism.
