Bush WMD Response to Target Bill Clinton

One of the centerpieces of President Bush's counter-offensive against his Iraq war critics will be a Republican National Committee commercial focusing on a speech given by former President Bill Clinton.

U.S. News & World Report says the RNC ad will spotlight Clinton's Feb. 17, 1998 speech on Iraq, where the former prez "guaranteed" that Saddam Hussein would use his weapons of mass destruction.

"Let's imagine the future," Clinton said seven years ago. "What if [Saddam] fails to comply [with U.N. sanctions], and we fail to act, or we take some ambiguous third route which gives him yet more opportunities to develop this program of weapons of mass destruction and continue to press for the release of the sanctions and continue to ignore the solemn commitments that he made?"

Clinton warned: "He will conclude that the international community has lost its will. He will then conclude that he can go right on and do more to rebuild an arsenal of devastating destruction.

"And some day, some way, I guarantee you, he'll use the arsenal."

Other soundbytes from Democratic flip-floppers will feature WMD warnings from Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

Two years too late, but better late than never.

"Bush WMD response to target Bill Clinton"
The clintons are indeed WMDs - in, by, and of themselves. Consider the damage here they already have caused. Hillary in "old crusty" configuration is simply a "dirty bomb, enhanced yield". More, their use is not restricted by any treaty the United States is a signatory of. Thus I see a strategeric opportunity here - they are to be carefully targeted and then dropped on our neighbors the Chinese.

The RNC has raised 81 million in the last 6 months compared to the DNC raising 31 million.

The doom and gloomers here should take note. The Democrats haven't been at all successful on capitalizing on any of the issues many say are costing the Republicans or the right. If anything, I will give the media, the DNC and high gas prices credit for creating a high level of anxiety.

This is absolutely, positively delicious!!

We're fighting back, and today, Dr. Demento (Howie Dean) REFUSED to appear simultaneously with RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman on "Meet The Press" with Tim Russert.

Seems like the democRATS are feeling the heat and starting to retreat like the cowards they REALLY are!!

If any DUmmy lurkers are here, stayed tuned.

You ain't seen nothin' yet!!!

I agree. This is a masterstroke, and the timing is perfect. After all, in politics, timing is everything!!

Just today, Howie Dean (aka Dr. Demento) refused to appear simultaneously with RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman. The democRATS are running for cover. What spineless cowards they are!!

Stay tuned, America. Get some beer and popcorn.
This is going to be a great show in the next few weeks/months!!

GO "W" GO!!!

I don't think using clips from a Clinton speech is "targeting" him. More like using him.

'Bout time he was good for something.

I am once again encouraged to start supporting the Republican party, finally starting to show a backbone, let's start slapping the Democrats like they justly deserve, followed by the spineless RINOs we are burdened with. I am all for helping out in this fight. Any ideas on how the average person can assist in countering the daily lies of the Dims would be appreciated by me. It is just possible that the President and some members of congress will fight back harder if some of us lend a hand.

Yes, you are alone in this.

It is a brilliant masterstroke from the evil genius, Karl Rove.

In politics, the timing is everything. And the timing is now perfect.

GO 'W' GO !!!

You said "if Bush was a real fighter he would of done this a long time ago."

I disagree.

If he had a magic wand to create these commercials, and knew what exactly the public would be misinformed of, then maybe.

But, even then, it would have done no good.

Do you not recognize rope a dope when you see it?

The President has given the DEMS all the rope they want, to ensure the hanging is permanent.

These commercials will be effective now, so back then they would not have benefited anyone but those on websites like this one.

We cannot accomplish much by preaching to the choir. We must reach the unbelievers.

Also, be prepared. This is gonna get ugly. As the source of their power is reduced, the desperate will fight in any way, fair or unfair, that they can. Murder comes without a second's hesitation.

The timing is perfect, because the time is ALWAYS right for the truth to be told!!

Bush a puppet?

No. Karl Rove is the 'director', in a sense. Or Public Relations Specialist.

The President of a company, a nation, is the one that provides the leadership. The goals. The concern for the good of that enterprise.

He does not operate the front desk. He has people well-trained to do that.

There are many very skilled people in the Bush Administration, and many are doing exemplory jobs in these trying times.

It is Rove that may be getting the glory, but there is no reason to suppress that.

It should be a reason to acknowledge the skills of our President in choosing the best man for the job.
