Senator on the Left

After winning, at the relatively tender age of 51, a third Senate term in 2004 with 55 percent of Wisconsin's vote, five points better than John Kerry's winning percentage, and carrying 27 of the 45 Wisconsin counties that President Bush carried, Russ Feingold went to play golf -- on a public course, this fastidious populist stresses -- in Greenville, Ala. That town might hereafter be known as the birthplace of Feingold's epiphany.

A good liberal -- the Senate's most pure, according to the liberal Americans for Democratic Action, whose rating of his career (97) is higher than that of Ted Kennedy (90), Barbara Boxer (92), John Kerry (93) and Hillary Clinton (95) -- Feingold is a conscientious recycler.

There are 1,740,170 Palestinian refugees in Jordan, which has a population of 5.8 million. Most of them are Jordanian citizens. There are another 2.4 million Palestinians in the West Bank, which was formerly administered by Jordan. The Palestinians don't have to take over Jordan, they essentially own it.
But .. this was another loss for Bush .. right ..??
If Republicans did this, there would be hell to pay coming from the press and Democrats.
Hillary Clinton Slams China for Forced Abortion Population Control Policy

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Pro-abortion Sen. Hillary Clinton blasted China's population control policy that involves forced abortions and sterilizations in a speech on Thursday. Speaking in Washington at an American Bar Association symposium, she called on the country to curb its human rights abuses.
During her talk, she urged President Bush to challenge China's "forced abortion" policy when he meets with Chinese leaders during his visit to Beijing next week.
Clinton called the Chinese policy that requires families to have no more than one child a "fundamental injustice."
She condemned China's "use of psychological and economic pressure and threats to force women to terminate pregnancies."

According to a New York Sun report, Clinton said she had written to China President Hu Jintao about the forced abortion policy and other human rights abuses.
The newspaper said "in the letter, Mrs. Clinton urged President Bush to 'make clear the United States strongly opposes these abuses' -- among them forced abortion and sterilization, restrictions on religious freedom, the lack of workers' rights, and the oppression of Tibet."
The Sun commended Clinton for speaking out.
"Too often, the only time Democratic politicians talk about unborn children is in the context of abortion as an absolute right for women," it wrote an in editorial. "For Mrs. Clinton to speak out against pressuring women to terminate pregnancies is a step in the right direction."
Yeah! Stevens took out Boxer and Cantwell at one time. A two-fer!! We need to call our congress persons and tell them to listen to that audio until it's imprinted on their brain.
Nope. Revisionist History. You were excoriated for demanding CERTAINTY. That is an absurd notion. NOTHING in life is certain. Demanding the FACTS is NOT any way similar to demanding certainity.
What they Miers people keep telling you, which you just tuned out, was that is what we have Senate HEARINGS for. However the Lynch Miers crowd wasn't intrested in facts, they were only intrested in "paying Bush back for betraying us". Now, just like the Democrats, they are trying to rewrite an inconvient History to suit their current emotional whimsy.
Your 'how many elections have you won' is a detractor---a ploy to change the subject. (Libs do that all the time. It is a page right out of the Clinton playbook.) Stay on topic. The topic was the effectiveness/ineffectiveness of the Bush PR team. Stay focused instead of resorting the lib/Dem tactic of personal attacks.
I'm from the great state of Virginia, the Old Dominion, and Gov. Warner suggested our taxes be raised to erase a deficit. Well, they were raised with the help of the media and our legislature. Now, we have a surplus, and that means we are paying too much taxes.
BTW, a gallon of regular gasoline can be bought down the street from me for $1.899.

HILL DUCKS LIBBY ISSUE
By IAN BISHOP November 12, 2005 -- WASHINGTON Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton is staying silent as top Democratic senators demand President Bush rule out a pardon for indicted top White House aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby which could evoke memories of her and her husband's own Pardongate scandal.
Party leaders including fellow New York Sen. Charles Schumer have written a letter to Bush urging that he promise not to pardon Libby, who has been charged with obstruction of justice and perjury in the CIA-leak case.
But Clinton has ducked taking a position on the letter.
Asked yesterday by The Post if she agrees with her party's anti-pardon offensive, Clinton spokesman Philippe Reines said only, "If I have anything for you on this, I will let you know."

Sen. Clinton herself came under fire when feds investigated whether she offered clemency to four men from the Hasidic village of New Square in exchange for the community's votes in her 2000 Senate run.
She has denied playing a role in the men's pardons.
They must still remember what happened the last time they tried to overthrow the government in Jordan since they haven't tried again. But that won't last forever - I'm sure al Qaeda is trying all they can to stir up a fresh intifada there.
The people at Waco were NOT Christians. It was a cult!
I did too, until I listened to that disgraceful interview on Tony Snow's show last week.
Turn out he's just "Swimmer Light".
This was great. We should all say a prayer for Juan Williams to keep him well and talking.
You are so right....and they KNOW that if a Democrat is elected in 2008...President Bush would NOT go out and do the same things that Carter and Clinton are doing...
