Some people are complaining though because TF1, one of their major networks has posted on its web site that it is temporarily closing its comments section due to heavy traffic and to maintain their balance and impartiality policies. IIt would seem to indicate that all the comments are going one way. TF1 is also the network that has decided to stop reporting on nightly numbers of cars and buses burning in order not to "inflame" the situation.
MSM: same MO all over the world...WE bring you the news we like.

I think the French Muslims are jealous of the Iraqi Muslims. But that's not Bush's fault...that's Chirac's fault.

Might it be Catalan or Provencal?

Are these 'disaffected, unemployed youths' rioting over their economic conditions or the fact that the initial incident in all the rioting resulted from police entering the immigrant area which is de-facto Islamic Territory controlled by the youths?

Most of these 'immigrants' seem to consider assimilation to be 'cultural rape' and have no desire to conform to the laws and customs of their host countries but seek instead only Islamic law and society. The murder of the Dutch filmmaker for a film that insulted Islam and the threats against a Denmark newspaper for publishing an image of the Prophet are examples of what Europe is really facing: a Jihad, not 'unemployed youths'. Unemployed youths may eventually get well paying jobs, but that will not change their views that Denmark may not have laws or customs that are repugnant to Islam or that Franch may not exercise authority inside the de-facto millets of the Immigrant Neighborhoods.

OCCITAN LANGUAGE

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
Occitan (langue d'oc)
Spoken in: France, Spain, Italy
Region: Europe
Total speakers: 1,939,000
Ranking: not in top 100
Genetic classification: Indo-European

Occitan

Occitan, or langue d'oc is a Romance language, or a set of Romance languages, spoken mainly in southern France. All of its subdivisions are generally mutually intelligible. It is spoken as a first language by about two million people in France, Italy, and Spain (Ethnologue, 2005). It is estimated that up to seven million people in France understand the language.

In France Occitan is the customary name given to dialects of Occitan spoken in the South-West while the dialects spoken in the South-East are called Provençal.

In the English-speaking world, "Provençal" is often used to refer to all dialects of Occitan as well as to medieval versions of Occitan known as "Langue d'oc".

Since I started the confusion on this, I found an answer: Occitan (Langue d'Oc). Posted more on a separate thread. Who knew?

Amazing that the French police and firemen were ordered to stand by, put out fires, and take a lot of abuse.
Obvious that the French gov. didn't want to get the rioters angry.
It's also obvious that the whole thing was begun by leftist sympathizers who went in to the riot-torn areas and stirred up trouble.
It's obvious because the crowds directed their anger at private cars, public buses, small businesses and schools. All instruments of a decadent capitalist society.
The current socialist French gov. has a lot to gain from the riots - especially expansion of the welfare state.

Look I know this article can't be for real...why not only this morning, I read in the newspaper that the curfews did the trick and the young misunderstood "French" children only burned a few hundred cars last night.

Could it be the police were just cleaning the weapons and a misfire happened? NOT!

No, French women prefer to be raped by the German troops not multinational troops. (Just something they've gotten used to I guess?)

I've been wondering, does burning cars add to global warming or reduce it? or does it only help if SUVs are torched?

History will show Chirac is in the pocket of the Muslims and that he is selling his country to them, changing the fundamentals of Europe in the process. We just don't yet understand why.

And half the US Congress demanded both a time line and exit strategy.

I'm beginning to feel like I'm living on a street called Europe, and while I have a moat between my house and my neighbour's, I am going to have to leave the neighbourhood because they're becoming too unruly.

Occitan, the traditional language of Languedoc; like Catalan, it has similarities to both French and Spanish.

"Bere beginnith the first lesson. Kill one and the riots will erupt. Kill 100 and the riots will stop."

Laughed, but got embarassed. True of course, but harsh in the circumstances.
