Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton is staying silent as top Democratic senators demand President Bush rule out a pardon for indicted top White House aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby which could evoke memories of her and her husband's own Pardongate scandal.
Party leaders have written a letter to Bush urging that he promise not to pardon Libby, who has been charged with obstruction of justice and perjury in the CIA-leak case........Clinton ducked taking a position on the letter.
Rekindled comparisons to Pardongate would open old wounds for the first lady, who is readying for re-election and eyeing a run for the White House in 2008.
Bill Clinton created an uproar when he issued 11th-hour pardons to 140 people before he left office.
Sen. Clinton herself came under fire when feds investigated whether she offered clemency to four men from the Hasidic village of New Square in exchange for the community's votes in her 2000 Senate run. She has denied playing a role in the men's pardons.

If Marc Rich was Catholic you would ignore him. You would care less. You only post about Jewish and black miscreants. You are fighting the last war. Islam is the threat. Not Jews. Every smart European knows this today even if he didn't last month. But to the Jew obsessed this is irrelevant.
... and while I am on the subject .... whatthehell is namby-pamby-papa-Bush doing paling around with Bill Clinton? No sooner does "Read my Lips" appear on TV making goo-goo eyes at ole Bill, than Bill takes off on a speaking tour slamming the crap out of ALL the Bush family and the horse they rode in on.
And her side lost. *Snicker*
This is a bit bizzar. It's hard to believe a man of this stature would do things like this.
But Libby has been convicted of nothing, except here on some threads, where hs has been convicetd of being a Democrat (not a fact) and/or of being a pervert, for a book nobody has read, written in a literary genre the local yokels would probably not understand anyway.
Liz, he WAS NOT indicted on the original charge which the special prosecutor was hired to investigate: that of leaking classified information. He allegedly lied to the special prosecutor after the fact and THAT was what he was indicted for. There is no indication he was pushing ANY type of agenda beyond trying to get a friendly pen in the press.
This forum has really gone downhill. It's almost nothing but baseless attacks anymore.
Same place you read that this was a big "out to get the Jew" conspiracy. In the windmills of your mind!
Your atrocious spelling aside, what "things" has he done?
This is true. But, what what he retained for? Traffic tickets? Loitering? Or was it as Wikepedia shows:
"Marc Rich... fled the United States in 1983 to live in Switzerland in order to avoid prosecution on charges of tax evasion and ILLEGALLY MAKING OIL DEALS WITH IRAN DURING THE HOSTAGE CRISIS. (caps mine for emphasis)
Viva la France!!!!
LOL. The tinfoil is getting deep in here.
No kidding.
Have you heard that Dick Cheney is a DNC operative, and has had in his employ not one, but TWO just like him?
;)
I know all about Marc Rich. YOU, however, do NOT know what Libby was retained for concerning Rich. You're weaving legends.
OK, why was he retained?
ROFLOL! No I hadn't...is one of his two Stepford operatives supposed to be Karl Rove, by any chance?
Agreed.
Exactly my point. I don't know why he was retained, and neither do you. You're wildly speculating, not discussing facts.
Your innuendo, words like "probably," and phrases like "must have been" are so comforting. And your contention that only "authentic conservatives" should agree with this stuff is highly insulting. (I was waiting to read the word "neocon" in your posts here, but maybe that's too flagrant a tipoff.)
I find attacks on people in the Bush administration --in order to attack the President himself-- disingenuous and sneaky.
Look, I don't dismiss anything you posit here as unbelievable. But excuse me if I wait until things thoroughly unfold before I decide just who the real bad guys are.
