Bruce Willis Offers Million Dollar Bounty for Osama or Zarqawi (2005)
National Ledger ^ | November 12 2005 | CK Rairden

A report to be published Saturday says that Demi Moore's ex will pony up a million cash to any civilian who turns in the terrorist scum.

Bruce Willis is such a die-hard patriot that he's offering $1 million to any civilian who turns in terror kingpins Osama bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri or Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. The hairless Hollywood he-man announced his bounty offer on MSNBC's "Rita Cosby: Live and Direct" this week.

Willis also revealed he was in talks to make a movie about the Deuce Four, the soldiers whose heroic exploits have been chronicled by embedded blogger Michael Yon.

Willis complained about media coverage of the war:

"I am baffled to understand why the things that I saw happening in Iraq, really good things happening in Iraq, are not being reported on."

Well, their goes the theory and bogus lies that the main stream media tells us that they are fighting for what they believe in.

BTW, I peered that Playboy article because there were snippets (via the Nation at http://www.thenation.com/doc/19990405/corn ) that I chose to confirm claiming that Willis went off on a Leftist rant. He did.

Hugin, keep this in mind when thinking about him and Greenpeace.

He's an actor. Anyone who forms their political opinions based on what actors say or the roles they play shouldn't be allowed to vote. Anyone who chooses a movie based on the political opinions of actors shouldn't be allowed to go to the movies.

I was thinking that the FiBi's and other alphabet agencies had offered gazillions for UBL & Zippies noggins on a pike and when I read this I thought .....pretty safe offer if the islamakazi's have turned down the 25 plus Million.

.... Why jump up for the 1 million ?

I like some of BW's movies.....pure entertainment.

Stay Safe Cindy !

Yep.

OPINION: The jihadi ideology is more of an incentive than money -- or so it seems.

I just wanted to highlight the juxtaposition. But I was searching for a post on how the Hollywood ideologues has shunned him.

Hollywood shuns people for not getting a good table at Ivy or Mr. Chow.

Bruce Willis is one of my favorite actors. His offer of a bounty for Osama or Zarqawi does not surprise me. A true American.

Better that you should send that outfit into a few hollywood studio executive office buildings.

That would produce some real results right here.

Nothing against Bruce---this is a nice gesture---but the U.S. has had a $25 million bounty (unless it has recently been increased) for some time . . . and no takers.

A) people in that region have no concept whatsoever of "$1 million." It's like trying to explain marijuana to a five year old.

B) anyone who even remotely might consider turning this guy in knows that his life would be worthless, and that of his family's. The jihadists would hunt them down like dogs, and we could not protect them.

It might make more sense to quietly talk to "Soldier of Fortune" and amass a "secret team," although Freepers who are in country assure me they are doing everything they can to kill OBL and that the task is incredibly difficult for a westerner based on where he is and how he's guarded.
