"It is regrettable that Senator Kennedy has chosen Veteran's Day to continue leveling baseless and false attacks that send the wrong signal to our troops and our enemy during a time of war. It is also regrettable that Senator Kennedy has found more time to say negative things about President Bush then he ever did about Saddam Hussein. If America were to follow Senator Kennedy's foreign policy, Saddam Hussein would not only still be in power, he would be oppressing and occupying Kuwait."
- Scott McClellan, White House Press Secretary
Sen. Kennedy On Iraq
Sen. Kennedy Said Saddam Hussein Was Developing WMDs: "We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction." (Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA), Remarks At The Johns Hopkins School Of Advanced International Studies, Washington, D.C., 9/27/02)
Sen. Kennedy: "Saddam Hussein Is A Dangerous Figure. He's Got Dangerous Weapons." (CBS' "Face The Nation," 10/6/02)
Sen. Kennedy Now Says The President Manipulated Facts About Iraq's WMDs: "'Instead of providing open and honest answers about how we will achieve success in Iraq and allow our troops to begin to come home,' Kennedy said, 'the president reverted to the same manipulation of facts to justify a war we never should have fought.'" (Deb Riechmann, "Bush Forcefully Attacks Critics Of The War In Iraq," Associated Press, 11/11/05)
Sen. Kennedy Opposed Removing Saddam Hussein From Kuwait. (S.J.Res.2, CQ Vote #2: Adopted 52-47: R 42-2; D 10-45, 1/12/91, Kennedy Voted Nay)
Sen. Kennedy Opposed Removing Saddam Hussein From Power. (H. J. Res. 114, CQ Vote #237: Passed 77-23: R 48- 1; D 29-21; I 0-1, 10/11/02, Kennedy Voted Nay)
of course he is, thats why nobody botehred to knock him off. hes useless. waste of a human being.
Poor Chrissy.
Dems' are in hysteria because the President told the Truth. How dare he do such a thing? ;-)
I'm especially enjoying their "outrage" over saying this on Veteran's Day. Considerate of the military crowd cheering him on, and the Dems' abuse of him every day of the year, understanding of their eagerness to lose this war for political gain endangering the safety of our troops, our country, and dishonor the contributions of past and serving miltary ...It was the perfect day to do this.
Dems, EAT your own Words and choke on your Sedition.
This is breaking news? Amazing what qualifies these days vs. what does not.
OK...lets take this further...I heard some noise last week that the Kennedy family has some 500 million dollars stashed away in Fiji for tax evasion purposes...anyone else here this?
bttt
Very good! Well said.
Wow, what a great quote, never heard it before.
He was Kerry's mentor and they, together, did all they could to undermine America in that war.
Exactly, he needs to keep it up and not go back to silent mode.
I was curious to see how he and his winged monkey, David Shuster, were going to show how the Bush Administration tied Iraq directly to 9/11 in their "pre-war hype" as promised in their Yackball promos.
They never were able to show an incident of anybody in the Bush Admin. making that direct assertion, yet Chrissy kept insisting that Bush and co. made that claim.
It seems that regardless of the topic, Matthews will lead-in with that lame CIA leak case video expose his hack satff created with pictures of folders and files with mug shots some of the players attached with a paper clip and words like INDICTMENT and CIA LEAK flashing across the screen.
He really is an idiot.

The way Olbermann and Craig Crawford laugh, giggle and make goo goo eyes at each other during their little chats, I'm beginning to think they're dating.
Stripping the bark off that tree - way to go W!
Very interesting though par for the course I would say for "Senator Dog Paddle".
Ted Kennedy proves that his family curse is not to die a tragic death.
"Regrettable." Yes.
Also "egregious."
So what's new?!
The timing on this is impeccable. Hit Kennedy hard on Friday night; he'll wake up about noon on Tuesday and wonder what the hell happened lol
Well yes, high time, even. But in the meantime, essential work was scuttled because a weak president has no clout amongst cowardly rino majorities. By refusing to defend his own record all these months, the 'rats have had an open field for the Big Lie, repeated over and over, and NEVER DIRECTLY CONFRONTED. No wonder the masses believe it and his numbers have tanked. Let the fur now fly, by all means, but face it--harm has been done by the WH's slack posture.
Yes, we're at war because we were attacked. We're also not at war because Congress hasn't declared war. Things are confused and they can't be cleared up by your declaring we're at war because you don't have Constitutional standing to do so. Neither does the President. Neither do the Courts. Until Congress says the words explicitly we are not at war legally, however much we may be in fact.
