November 11, 2005--On Veterans Day 2005, 78% of Americans have a favorable opinion of the United States Military forces. A Rasmussen Reports survey found that just 10% have an unfavorable opinion.
Forty-eight percent (48%) of Americans consider Veterans Day one of the nation's most important holidays. Six percent (6%) say it is one of the least important while 43% place it somewhere in between.
Thirty-nine percent (39%) will do something special to commemorate Veterans Day this year. Fifty-three percent (53%) will not.
Among Veterans, 64% consider this day one of the nation's most important holidays and 61% will do something special to commemorate it.
Among those with relatives and close friends serving in Iraq, 51% will do something special to commemorate the holiday.
While President Bush has tumbled in the polls, he still retains support among America's military veterans. Sixty-percent (60%) of Veterans approve of the way the President is performing his job, including 30% who Strongly Approve.
Rasmussen Reports is an electronic publishing firm specializing in the collection, publication, and distribution of public opinion polling information.
Rasmussen Reports was the nation's most accurate polling firm during the Presidential election and the only one to project both Bush and Kerry's vote total within half a percentage point of the actual outcome.
During Election 2004, RasmussenReports.com was also the top-ranked public opinion research site on the web. We had twice as many visitors as our nearest competitor and nearly as many as all competitors combined.
Scott Rasmussen, president of Rasmussen Reports, has been an independent pollster for more than a decade.
The 10% should be hanged immediately and the other 12% should then be repolled.
Ding, ding, ding!!! Gentlemen, we have a winner!!!
LOL
Yeah, well the feeling is mutual. Ya scum!
Guess this poll would help explain why I loathe 25% of
the people I deal with on a daily basis, does that make me mainstream???
Let's be fair. 23%.
No. 22%.
Once you consider that 51% actually VOTED for E'ffn, nothing else is really scary.
See how scary it was !!!
LOL
I was thinking the same thing!!!
:-)
I think Che is their commie of choice.
I guess on Good Friday they will take a poll to see what percentage hates Christians!!!
And a good many more who were ashamed to admit they feel the same.
Have you heard today's news? Walmart will no longer allow its employees to say Merry Christmas......
I have a suggestion to all Walmart customers....
At the checkout say, Merry Christmas....if you get the "Happy Holidays" response...demand a refund....on the spot...
How exactly can you be undecided on whether you support your own country's military?
I believe these 12% are lib cowards who are afraid to say what they really think.
I had to factor in the " I support the troops but not the war" crowd...so I added 3%.
I would guess that 10% are mostly urban liberals.
