I and the others originally took your post to mean that he could have given her Ipecac after having her drink the drain cleaner, and avoided the damage.
Instead, I see that you mean that if the guy got off on watching women vomit, he could have just used Ipecac *instead* of the drain cleaner, which would have been a "safe" way to cause her to vomit.
True enough, but it seems that this guy's fundamental fetish wasn't women vomiting, it was women drinking strange and/or harmful substances.

Just put him away in the same prison where they put Jeffrey D and tell 'em he is a child molester and he poisons people - and he might try poisoning other inmates before eating them.
I've heard worse. After friend's wife was murdered, he got involved in the victim's rights movement and has spent a lot of time working with other victims (or their surviving families) and in prisons, and I hear a lot of sick stuff via his experiences.
But yeah, this guy's high on the list.
People should know from a medical/surgical perspective that there are only two medical outcomes from what happened here.
1. The woman dies a slow painful death.
2. She survives but wishes she was dead.
This is equivalent to dousing someone with gasoline and setting them on fire - they either die as a result or wish they were dead.

I assumed that was what he was getting off on , her vomiting. Now it seems he got off on watching pain as his victims were poisoned. They should bring back the guillotine for this character.
