Paul McCartney to beam concert into space

LONDON (Reuters) - Former Beatle Paul McCartney is to broadcast live into space from a U.S. concert to two astronauts circling the globe.

He will play "Good Day Sunshine" and one of his latest songs, "English Tea," to NASA astronaut Bill McArthur and Russian cosmonaut Valery Tokarev who are on an international space station 220 miles above the earth.

McCartney, who will be singing into space Saturday from Anaheim, California via NASA television, got the idea when he discovered that the crew of the spaceship Discovery were treated to a burst of "Good Day Sunshine" in August as a wake-up call from Mission Control.

"I was extremely proud to find out that one of my songs was played for the crew of Discovery this summer. In our concert we hope to repay the favor," he said in a statement.

Might as well beam it into space, he's been up there in orbit for years anyway...

Yoko Ono's "No, No, No" has been scientifically proven to be the worst song ever. The lyrics:

No!!

Let me take my scarf off,
No, no, no, yes, yes, yes.
Don't help me, (help me)
I can do it and you know it.
Don't touch me, (touch me)
I don't like it.

Let me take my blouse off,
No, no, no, yes, yes, yes.
Don't help me, (help me)
I can do it and you know it.
Don't touch me, (touch me)
I don't like it.

You promised me, you promised me,
You promised me, you promised me.
I don't remember what you promised,
I know you didn't keep it.

Let me take my pants off,
No, no, no, yes, yes, yes.
Don't hold me, (hold me)
I don't want it.
You're thinking of rock hudson when we do it. (let's do it!)

Let me take my ring off,
No, no, no, yes, yes, yes.
Don't do it, (do it!)
I can't do it,
I'm seeing broken glass when we do it. (do it!)

You promised me, you promised me,
You promised me, you promised me.
I don't remember what we promised,
But i know we didn't keep it.

You promised me, you promised me,
You promised me, you promised me.
I don't remember what we promised,
But i miss you!

"Sir" Paul (pass me another tab of Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds will you John?) would do me a personal favor should he beam himself into space. A very small and soundproof one.

Invade? They'd be repelled !.......

More likely they'll just send an anti-matter ARM our way.

Yoko Ono's "No, No, No" has been scientifically proven to be the worst song ever.

The lyrics are bad enough but don't do the soundtrack please.

people will still be listening to his songs in 500 years.

Saw him in concert this last Tuesday and he was simply awesome. He was the last century's Mozart IMO.

Precisely, this will surely cause a galactic incidence and elicit an alien response as it will be viewed as an unprovoked attack of sorts.
