The latest Rasmussen Reports survey shows that Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum is continuing to lose ground in his battle for re-election. Santorum trails Democrat Bob Casey, Jr by twenty percentage points, 54% to 34%.
This is the third time I've told you that emergency bulletins would not be affected. Are you not listening on purpose?

So he wouldn't look like a sore loser?
I'm not after payback. I'm voting for Rick.
But there's plenty of folks on the right who feel dejected or disgusted by the Specter/Toomey thing and just won't take part.
I was just hoping I could get a low interest loan to repair my little bar, no such luck I am "rich". LOL.
The think that pisses me off is why the hell is the government handing out 2k checks? Noboby spent 2k evacuating, since when did paying a motel tab become a government function? What about me, I used 50 gals of reserve gas to help folks out, I keep folks in water and ice, I kept my bathrooms functional when the water went off, I keep my ice machine running. And government treats me like I and the enemy but those that do nothing to help themselves, prepare themself, educate themself are the salt of the earth and FEMA to the recue with money stolen from me.
Screw it, the GOP can find someone else to vote for them, I had it with elections, nothing changes it just a fools game.
I can see baytown from my house.
It's simple: Toomey is better than Specter, but both were better than Hoeffel. With Toomey out, and a choice of Specter or Hoeffel, of course he would choose Specter, if for nothing else than to preserve committee chairmanships.
Is there some reason I should care? Is Santorum proposing making it illegal for the TV weather people or the newspaper to give me the weather for free? Is he going to shut down weather.com?
I'm not sure what you mean by "specialized weather forecasts," but unless you own one of the 350,000 registered boats in Pennsylvania, you don't really know what you are talking about.
Oh, I see. Since i'm not in the privleged class I should just shut up and give you your free goodies from the gov't. Nice.
The reason they are called "forecasts" is because they help you know before an emergency strikes what the weather conditions might be.
Yeah, that's what an emergency bulletin does as well. they have these things called "tornado watches" and "thunderstorm warnings."
If you want to ride on your boat and are worried about the weather, then log on to the computer or pick up a newspaper. Why should the gov't do it for you when commercial people are interested in providing the service?

I always support Republicans over democrats, but I live in Mississippi so all I can do is send Rick some money.
Good. Unfortunately, many others are.
I'm glad you're not among them. They need to get a grip on reality.

...shall we discuss this in the "cone of silence"...
Are you aware that NOAA is a government agency within the Department of Commerce? Most of the coastlines and waterways in the US are public domain, controlled by the USCG, why shouldn't free weather information be available to boaters who pay a fee to register their vessels in specific states? How about the pleasure taxes paid by boaters, which is not an insignificant amount?
I'm not waiting for guidance from Toomey's decision. I support Santorum.
Oh yeah? Let me tell youy a story. My wife is a Methodist. A woman at her church was pregnant with twins. At about twenty weeks, the babies came. Thw woman asked for her minister to come to baptize them. He arrived at the hospital, walked into the ICU and was startled to see the father holding the two children in his arms. They were still alive but the doctors had told the parents that the babies had only hours to live (because of malformations). He baptised the babies and the parents took turns holding and stroking them until they died. The two babies were later given a church funeral, with two tiny coffins lying side by side. Do you find this strange? That these babies should be treated like persons. I found it profoundly moving.
The more I read, the more I liked him. The author is obviously a liberal and simply has no clue about the way Santorum view's his child's death. To the author, it would be reasonable to just put the "fetus" in a trashbag.
Rove, like many around bush, is a moderate, at least by Texas standards. He has no principles, only calculations.
