It was a dark and stormy night. Buckhead was in the shadows. He and the other swarming FreePer sharks were lurking, lusting, salivating. Rather bled a little, and the swarm moved in.

I nominate you for first runner up in this year's Bulwer-Lytton literary competition -- behind Mary Mapes, of course!

The sun shone brightly after the dark and stormy night, but our protagonist was too engrossed in her project to notice, as her fingers crawled over the keyboard like a pair of large spiders circling, searching for the opportunity to strike - because for spiders, cannibalism is just another meal - to suck the life juices out of its adversary, but the looming deadline was the real predator, sucking words from the mind driving those wandering hands to complete their nefarious fiction in time for the broadcast.

This is how it should have been written so liberals would be more interested:
The night was black and the excitement in the air could be felt as the hair on one's arms stood up. Buckhead was at the apex of his excitement. The Freeping Members were throbbing, pulsating, hot and dripping with anticipation. Rather was alone and vulnerable as the Freeping Member moved toward him. Mapes should be limited to writing fiction and pornography.
