IMHO, this is the first of a lot of negative CA news....San Diego is going to have to declare bankruptcy soon, the housing prices are falling which will zap those interest only home buyers, the entertainment companies are laying off 500 people at a pop...and Albertsons is about to be broken up.
Oh well.

Looks the the union prop may actually pass. That is very good news and bodes well for the future. Personally I couldn't imagine how all these union workers could sit back and watch their hard-earned money squandered to support democratic elections over and over and over... I don't think every union worker int he country is a democrat and I, for one, would be livid at working hard and seeing it wasted like it's been wasted this election.

What Arnold should do now is tell it like it is. Explain loud and clear to everyone how much of the budget is squandered on unaccounted for education spending, union pensions and B.S. and tell everyone that they just voted themselves a TAX HIKE.

If you want to blame someone for this loss we need to all look in the mirror. 19% turnout in Orange county, 18.4% in SD even with the mayor race, far less than that in Riverside in San Bernardino. Where are you getting those figures from? The majority of precincts haven't even reported yet for Orange or SD.

And now we have to listen to these idiots gloating on the local news. Big win for those who knock up little girls; enjoy not being able to fire bad teachers and have fixed elctions I guess.

Listen we only had 46% in our recall election here in our town a month ago and it was a mail in ballot only. Now, THAT is pathetic.. but, I rather no one vote than some of the people I see writing uneducated letters to the editor.
To: DoughtyOne
Actually, I'd have liked to have seen him do some thirty minute spots, where he could adequately cover the issues point by point. If he did a little of a Perot act, it might have been helpful. I agree. He should also have had ads in which is takes apart the other side's lies, clearly and bit-by-bit.

A stunning failure on the part of pro life in California. enough already! some of us spend our lives volunteering at Crisis Pregnancy Centers... this issue runs deep within us... and it's not easy living in California, not only being a conservative, but actually working on the front lines of the prolife movement daily... your comments are annoying... give us a plan of attack... what should we do next time? i'd appreciate some pointers over your pouring salt in my wounds...
