Another shoe may drop in the Able Danger story tomorrow, when Rep. Curt Weldon plans on holding a press conference to announce new developments in the case. Weldon's office released a statement today announcing the media event tomorrow at 12:30 PM ET, which can also be found on his website, I believe. Weldon's invitation promises the following:
The latest findings include: information Able Danger provided to defense officials about terrorist activity in the Port of Aden prior to the terrorist attack on the USS Cole back in October 2000; a discovery of another Able Danger member who confirms a set of Able Danger data not accounted for by the Pentagon; recent statements by the 9-11 Commission about Able Danger; and the latest efforts by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) to smear Able Danger member Lt. Col. Shaffer who broke the silence about the Pentagon's efforts to track al-Qaeda worldwide prior to September 11 [emphases mine -- CE].
We already know about the smear attempt, and also the DIA's railroading of Shaffer in stripping him of his clearances for picayune offenses that go far back into his past -- which should have already been part of his security reviews several times over. I won't get a chance to listen into the press conference, but I will be following up with great interest later in the evening.
Thanks for the ping.
God Bless Rep. Weldon!
Able Danger Ping!

Thanks! :-)
Thanks for the ping. Is it going to be televised?
Lets hope this is brought into the sunlight very soon
Probably not....C-span 1 has the House tomorrow...C-span 2 has the Senate...and C-span 3 has hearings all day on Energy policy with the Senate Energy Committee...
It will probably be taped for later viewing...hopefully!
Able Danger ping
I hope so. Maybe Rush will have something on it.
Good point, it will be coming down on his watch.
Thanks ... I'll be cubicle-bound tomorrow .. looking foward to hearing about Rep. Weldon's latest .. he's such a soldier. God truly bless and protect him.
New Jersey is not a landfill. There are people there who did NOT vote for Corzine.
in your opinion. You must think everyone in the state voted for Corzine. They did not. And...New Jersey does not stink. I take offense at that remark. Stop generalizing. There are decent people there but they can do nothing over those who hold the power.
While heading west from the GW Bridge, I used to joke that the city was called Secaucus because that's the sound you made while breathing. Some series "refinery" stench there at times, or at least there was, back in the 80s.

Ok.... it's a cesspool.
Those that didn't vote for Corzine should leave before their money/property is confiscated.
I predict that Weldon will announce the developments tomorrow, but when the time comes to produce the evidence, he will have nothing to show.
I tend to think he's on to something, but he should stop announcing his findings in advance. Just go right to the testimony.

Please add me to your Able Danger ping list?
Thanks in advance.
I want all of this to come down on ADM Jacoby BEFORE he retires from the DIA so that he has to testify.
Once he's retired, he'll be read out for clearances, and then can't/won't be called to testify using the excuse, "I don't have the clearance anymore".
My word? Read that guy back in and make his testify.
You can't get by calling New Jersey names so that's all the dialogue for me thank you. Bye.
