Ex-president Bill Clinton is arguing that tighter immigration laws are hurting America, saying the new restrictions aren't worth it even if they stop the "one out of a zillion [foreigners] who might have a bomb."
"I'm very worried that one of the consequences of our tightness on immigration and visas as a result of 9/11 and terror, has led to a drop in many places of the number of foreign students coming to the United States to study and be graduate students," Clinton told an audience at the University of Minnesota on Saturday.
He said the U.S. needed foreign students because "we are nowhere near graduating enough scientists and engineers to maintain, given the size of our economy, a leadership role in the global economy."
Clinton said the terror trade-off wasn't worth it.
"When we got real tough on visas - because one out of a zillion of them might have a bomb - we lost a lot of brains. We might have dodged a bomb but we lost a lot of brains."
On another subject, the former president also praised actress Geena Davis, star of the new ABC Show "Commander in Chief."
"I did see one episode of 'Commander in Chief'," Clinton told the crowd. "Geena Davis is good for two reasons. She looked tough but not macho. She didn't look lion-tough. And she spoke Spanish. So I thought those two things were good."

"I'm very worried that one of the consequences of our tightness on immigration and visas as a result of 9/11 and terror, has led to a drop in many places of the number of foreign students coming to the United States to study and be graduate students," So he would rather have another 9/11 rather than even ONE foreign student not studying here. Does Hillary agree?

Its a fair question.
Any idea how many of Mohammed Atta and his fellows were college gradudates??
Affluence and education tend to take the martyr out of most of them.

Correct. And let's face it, if we need more of these types of people, then the industry should start recruiting in high school promising big salaries. End of shortage!
Couldn't have that could we.

Wasn't his wife someone who legally arranged the release of some leftist Puerto Rico bombers who blew something up in NYC, long ago?
As a new lawyer, didn't Hillary Clinton come once to Sacramento to defend Black Panther terrorists?

Now that makes good sense.

You're looking for examples, but you forget that the argument for not enforcing immigration law was never rooted in facts. It was always about obtaining slave labor. Yes, it is slave labor.
Of course, the reply you'll get is that all of us on the borders ping list are covert operatives for Hillary. The reality is probably very much the opposite. It is the others you should worry about. After all, our position is not the one shared by Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, and the Los Angeles Times. Also, let's not forget about Barbra Streisand opposing the Minuteman Project. I haven't even gotten in to the various groups with blatant racial supremacist agendas like La Raza and MEChA yet.
However, it never matters to the advocates for the current policy on here. They keep on repeating the lies, hoping against hope that the masses will just eat it up so the slaves keep rolling in.

I think Clinton is right on this. This one is about the policy not the man.

Don't worry Dane, President Tancredo will do what President refuses to do. You might have to break down and buy a riding lawnmower.

Since BC equates big hair and boobies with brains, I sorta wonder what his "losing brains" comment really means.

I will prefice my comment by saying that I am NOT a Hillary supporter and NEVER will be. Now to my comment to you, Dane. Why is it that you seem to think that Bill Clinton's opinions on the Immigration subject are shared by his wife, Hillary? This article did not even mention Hillary's name nor whether or not she agrees with Billy Boy. I have a bridge to Brooklyn for sale, you fit the marketing profile as a perspective buyer.

We might have dodged a bomb but we lost a lot of brains. Americans blowing up is preferable to Clinton as long as the hot foreign sorority babes keep sending him topless photos. Plus...one illegal might have 4 or 5 sets of ID. That's 5 potential rat votes.
I barely got through the Clinton years by telling myself he would be defeated in 4 years and then he would be out of the spotlight after the 2000 elections. Between him and Carter I can't decide which man ruined this country more. He should be too embarassed to show his face for soiling the White House, and shamed for allowing our intellegence to whither, allowing 3,000 Americans to die on 9-11, and forcing our brave soldiers fix up his mess.

"Oh, puleeze! The Chinese nationalists are coming over our Southern borders. I've heard there are schools in Mexico training them to appear to be Latinos, not Chinese. Chavez provides the Western port of entry, and like a column of ants they head North. I kid you not."
Well, I hadn't heard that, but I don't doubt it. It seems as though just about every country in the world except for a few are out to take down the USA.

Ex-prez Double Eyebagger: if so, why'd you waste 5+ months on a 5 year old Cuban boy? How many illegals did you allow into the USA during your 8 year reign of terror?
