It is now clear that a good portion of France's Muslims not only refuse to assimilate into "the superior French culture" but firmly believe that Islam offers the highest forms of life.

This has to be the understatement of the year!! Great article!

Meanwhile, the Muslims have literally surrounded Paris. GMA showed a great graphic this morning of Paris as the core of a charred circle.

Actually, the situation in France raises a lot of questions for political and religious minorities in the USA, including political conservatives and traditional Christians who are increasingly at odds with the general trend of national politics, public education, and popular culture. Is what these Muslims are demanding entirely different from what some conservatoves/Christians might someday be tempted to demand for themselves?

Are we in principle opposed to what the Muslims are demanding, or do we oppose them simply because they are Muslims? Do people have a right to live in territories largely segregated along religious lines, and governed according to their religious beliefs? Doesn't that sound something like the founding of the American colonies? Are conservatives really believers in assimilation, or do we value maintaining the distinctive quality of ethnic and religious sub-cultures? Or are we totally reconciled to assimilation and cultural secularism, as long as freedom of worship is maintained? And do we fear Muslims because we [justifiably] think that the next step after they have their own territories is to make them larger, and ultimately to control everything and everyone? Just asking . ..

OK. France is lost. Now where do I get a good bottle of wine cheap? Do we have to send our sons to fight and die against the Muslims to ensure a steady flow of French wine?

For you bureaucratic hacks reading these web sites, read carefully. Inside every Muslim is a good person under the control of the Devil. Nuke Mecca and kill the Imams and the world will right itself. What religion combines the Ayn Rand's brute with the witch doctor? Islam is the only one I know. Kill the Imams. It's the short road to peace.

It is not a parallel at all other than both groups have warm bodies and each share their own common culture;

1) The French Muslims arrived legally and the French people/government accept their presence; the American Mexicans arrived illegally and 80% of the US population believe they should be extradited.

2) The religion of Islam primarily uses force to convert people to their faith. Christianity uses only the words of God, scripture, to appeal to converts. No man can force another man to convert to Christianity. The Holy Spirit comes to those who willfully and voluntarily accept jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

Note: Catholicism however is a hybrid religion. It combines Christianity with a cult. As such The US Hispanic illegal immigrants have a subservient nature and culture. They wait for other men to tell them what to do. When their orders conflict with the teachings of Christ then they become passive and indecisive. Protestant Christians can act independently according to their own spirit and their own relationship with God and Jesus Christ. They tend to view authority with suspicion and have confidence in their own personal decision and actions. [This is the spirit that won WWII)

3) The French people are disarmed. The American people are armed and will shoot to kill to defend property.

Good points. However - even though 80% of the US population believe they should be extradited our government is doing little to enforce the laws in this regard.

I'll still take a Hispanic illegal over an Islamic one any day

This thread is not the place and I don't really have the time, but no one should be able to say something this stupid without getting called on it.

Even worse, they never shut down the flow into the country of Arab/African immigrants.

&&
In addition, working French citizens continue to foot the bill for housing and feeding and health care for the islamos.

Hispanics have much more in common with us than do Islamics. Having said that, I still think we need to control our border.

Absolutely we need to control our border and return the illegals who are already here. Now!

One solution, offered by Gilles Kepel, an advisor on Islamic affairs to Chirac, is the creation of "a new Andalusia" in which Christians and Muslims would live side by side and cooperate to create a new cultural synthesis.
What a clueless dope this Kepel idiot is. Andalusia was Spain under Moorish rule. A leading official of the French nation essentially has just called for the surrender of his nation to Islam. I think such idiotic socialist nonsense will do nothing but embolden the jihadists.
It won't be too long until the French and European answer to the growing Muslim populations will be to cave in and allow them extra-territoriality. Little Jihadistans will sprout up like weeds in a field. Muslim clerics will then declare western Europe a Dar al Sulh on its way to becoming part of the Dar al Islam. I don't think the Euro Weenies have the stones to confront this growing menace.

"The French invited the Muslims into their country to fill a labor shortage after WWII."

The myth of labor shortages underpins immigration policies in many western countries. There are several proven alternatives to importing cheap labour, including automation, and outsourcing the work to the countries where this cheap labour lives.

The other myth is that we need the immigrants because of the low birth rates and aging population in western countries. The fantasy is that these immigrant populations will be willing and able to pay the cost of social security and medicate for us in our dotage. The best alternative is to privatize social security, and allow people to invest globally. The financial returns would be far greater than what we can expect from hostile, self-segretated immigrant "communities". In addition, low birth rates are a result of feminist doctrine and government social engineering over the past several decades. The birthrate could just as easily be increased. That is the best way to stem the erosion of western civilization.

In the end, I forsee mass deportations and some other bad stuff.

Mass deportations are not bad stuff.

Muslims do not belong in France. They have no desire to assimilate. They never will. They are nothing more than parasites. They should be returned to their lands of origin tout suite.

Yes the religion of piece is the problem and the meteorite worshipers are the perpetual pest. Oh that France could recreate one of its great moments from history-Saint Batholomew's Day.

Oh that France could recreate one of its great moments from history-Saint Batholomew's Day.

Massacring Protestants would probably not solve the Muslim problem. And France's Catholics are largely old women. Beyond that, it could be argued that it was the bloodthirstiness of France's Catholics toward the Huguenots which has led to the present apostasy of France and its imminent conquest by the pagan Muslims.

But let's revisit the aftermath of the cold-blooded massacre of these 100,000 Protestant martyrs that you seem to so admire. What was the aftermath?
Contemporary accounts report bodies in the rivers for months afterwards, so that no one would eat fish. Pope Gregory XIII's reaction was jubilant: all the bells of Rome pealed for a public day of thanksgiving, the guns of the Castel Sant'Angelo sounded a joyous salute, a special commemorative medal was struck to honour the occasion, and Gregory commissioned Giorgio Vasari to paint a mural depicting the Massacre, which is in the Vatican. In Paris, the poet Jean-Antoine de Baïf, founder of the Academie de Musique et de Poésie, wrote a sonnet extravagantly praising the killings.
The savage bloodlust of Rome against the martyrs of France is being repaid. It was through many incidents like this that the authority of the Roman establishment was overthrown and the entire reputation of Christianity in Europe so damaged by Rome that the populace turned to atheism or paganism.
