Precisely. Now they calm down, take the increased welfare and free jobs, continue to sell drugs and breed at triple the rate of the native French, and wait a few years. Threaten to riot from time to time just to keep the frogs on the defensive. The French left can write all the blame on Sarkozy and the right and Bush and Israel, and try and buy off the scum for a decade; the Berbers know the French left is going to work for them.

Let us call for UN peacekeepers, followed by an investigation into France's lack of multiculturalism
as shown by it's law's restricting foreign media distribution. The French oppression of minority citizen's rights must be stopped. What kind of terrible deeds by the french government would drive innocent youth to such acts of desperation? Even the Nazi generals wouldn't burn Paris.
Liberty Equality Fraternity - Freedom for the people
and double secret probation for the misguided youth

(Communist Party leader Marie-George Buffet said the decree could enflame rioters. "It could be taken anew as a sort of challenge to carry out more violence," she said.)

And the first prize for appeasement for the 1,596th time goes to...

Ah Ms Buffet! As shown on Saturday Night Live...You Ignorant Slut!!!

The problem however is so deep for them - it has to be appreciated just a little. The question is - do you let this fire burn itself out and contain it - or - do you attack it, and run the risk of making it flame up even more.

Good point. BTW, how many days did we allow our cities to burn after Martin Luter King and Rodney King? Believe me, there is nothing that I despise more than the French, but if I recall correctly, we also stood by and watched our cities burn.

"No. Not even close!"

How can I possibly argue with such a persuasive and eloquent statement?

Wow - you are so right about that.

Rome defeated the barbarians - then the children of the barbarians defeated Rome...

Europe is in a mess - I wonder how long it will be before we see the "wealth" of Europe begin to migrate to the U.S.

BTY - a little known fact - the wealthy of Europe are already buying second homes in the U.S. - I wonder why?

The Gauls have no balls and the Muslims know it.

It is noteworthy that since 9-11 the US has not taken this kind of domestic abuse by the islamofacists that the appeasers have. I believe they were VERY suprised that A) we had the balls to invade Iraq & B) we have had the perseverence to stay the course in Iraq.

That said, this PC over sensitivity towards Islam we are showing domestically is (as well as seen as by them) a sign of weakness. And it will come back to haunt us.

I predict that if the next president is a DIM or a weak pubbie, we will take another 9-11 style hit. As soon as we blink we will be hit.

Good point - very good point.

Under the surface of these monster issues - there are usually hard decisions based on no-win scenarios.

The French are knee-deep in a mess of their own making.

Solving it is way way hard...

How can you tell when the French are serious about losing?
Answer - They send in the Legion

Seriously - watch the movie Battle for Algiers
It shows the French dealing with this issue once before.
Nothing like going into poor neighborhoods with troops looing for insurgents.

"The question is - do you let this fire burn itself out and contain it - or - do you attack it, and run the risk of making it flame up even more. "

That's only a question if you're French.

I remember the cops running like scared rabbits in LA.

Parisians getting their just deserts for generations of elitism and socialism (I know - a contradiction in terms to everyone but Parisians).

Not entirely. An old saying goes that: "If you scratch a socialist they will bleed blue, like an aristocrat". A contradiction at first glance, a paradox upon closer examination, and in the end, hypocrisy. N'cest ce pas?

Gosh, a "state of emergency" that "paves the way for curfews". I'd be shaking in my sandals if I was a muzzie.

I dont understand why Chirac hasnt gotten authority from the UN to impose curfew. These unilateral steps on his part don't look good.

Good point 8-)

"I remember the cops running like scared rabbits in LA."

Okay, and by implication, you're trying to say since it happened in LA that the French are taking the prudent course? Or could it be that some of our bigger, "blue" cities are much like the French?

I second both the reason we have not been attacked since 9-11 and your above prediction.

Honestly, I am preparing myself for 2009. We have three years to get affairs in order.

We will be tested and hard. Geena Davis ( aka Hillary Rodham Clinton, whatever her name) will bring us ruin.
