Yeah since absentee votes always trend conservative, that could well push a couple over, like you said. A couple of those are real squeakers. All of those on the face look like they would have been great for the state. It's a shame all but one was voted for at this time. California democrats. More people would benefit from the passage of all of thoses than suffer I think.

"As to this being the left coast - last time I laid on the ground, the direction to my left was east, but hey, your results may vary. :)"

THAT'S the spirit! 8) Heh heh heh.

You could come to Texas maybe. We'd LOVE you in Texas. And we have killer BBQ. And the ground doesn't shake here. Sure there are hurricanes every decade or two, but you have plenty of time to get the hell out of Dodge. ;) Heh heh heh.

73 failing now. California falls further into the abyss.

Get out while you can, folks.

I'm glad to see I didn't need to swim there. Good job, Texas!

I never thought I'd say this, but I'm glad I live in Maryland.

Of course you're glad... you have a chance to elect Mike Steele as your Senator! I hope you have better results than Virginia just got....

The turnout was nearly double of my projection.
I heard on the radio some polls closed with people still
in line.

Texas has spoken: Marriage is between 1 man and 1 woman.

High 5

Ain't having unaccountable, unelected, "retired judges" drawing maps a wonder?

Yeah, MUCH better than having irresponsible, self-interested, entrenched legislators draw their own districts to protect their own jobs and party's control

I'm going to vote absentee in the next election. Less problematic.

If you'd like to have our corrupt Cook county judges in Illinois draw your state maps, feel free to take 'em off our hands. (You can also have our "electable" RINOs too) Expect Los Angeles and San Francisco to get a nice set of additional seats in the legislature thanks to the big city machine giving those judges their jobs.

If Arnold was serious about "Reform", he would have pushed for an impartial computer program, NOT A PERSON, to redraw the districts with the ONLY creteria being to make them as compact as possible. THAT would be "non-partisan". As it stands, Prop. 77 simply replaces one set of liberal goverment hacks with another. Rearranging deck chairs on the titanic is not the way to go.

P.S. Check out our kewl lookin' Chile-shaped districts in northeast Illinois (gotta make 'em long, narrow, and curve in bizarre directions to get as many suburban areas controlled by Chicago hacks as possible). Such a great job from the "retired non-partisan judges"!
