So it goes with empires. And comes now the penultimate chapter in the history of the empires of the West.

This is the larger meaning of the ritual murder of Theo Van Gogh in Holland, the subway bombings in London, the train bombings in Madrid, the Paris riots spreading across France. The perpetrators of these crimes in the capitals of Europe are the children of immigrants who were once the colonial subjects of the European empires.

At this writing, the riots are entering their 12th night and have spread to Rouen, Lille, Marseille, Toulouse, Dijon, Bordeaux, Strasbourg, Cannes, Nice. Thousands of cars and buses have been torched and several nursery schools fire-bombed. One fleeing and terrified woman was doused with gasoline and set ablaze.

The rioters are of Arab and African descent, and Muslim. While almost all are French citizens, they are not part of the French people. For never have they been assimilated into French culture or society. And some wish to remain who and what they are. They live in France but are not French.

The rampage began October 27 when two Arab youths, fleeing what they mistakenly thought was a police pursuit, leapt onto power lines and were electrocuted. The two deaths ignited the riots.

The solution is quite simple. Arrest, convict then deport those that have broken the law. No exceptions.

Don't forget to count the Parisian leisure-elite expatriates who flee to their countries of origin everytime France is invaded and surrenders. Well, about one half flee and the other half collaborates with the invaders.

There's a big lesson here for our "new tone in Washington" and "compassionate conservatism" President as well. He'd better learn it--and fast.

Of course the difference is that by 2050 the Mexicans will be the decedents of small business owners living in the suburbs along side other nationalities. They are assimilating into the American culture. Its not always an easy process, but it is none the less happening. The Islamists don't want to assimilate and the French would never let them even if they wanted to. This is the lie of multiculturalism. If you have separate societies with different rules of behavior it is inevitable that a fight for dominance will occur. The melting pot may not always be pretty to look at, but it is the only answer.

I live in a town that has been overrun with illegal Mexicans and South Americans. They are making ZERO effort to assimilate.

They are simply building their own subculture and breaking the law on a daily basis. They look at us smugly on the street because they know that political correctness is giving them a free ride...just like these Muslims in France.

It would be foolish indeed for us to not view millions of illegal immigrants of any kind as a threat. We can scoff at the French all we like (and I‘m sorry, but I do like it), but we are facing a serious threefold threat within our own borders and our government is too stupid to do anything about it.

1. Muslims pouring into our country 2. Mexicans and South Americans pouring into our country. 3. The massive conversion of our young black men to Islam, the religion of hatred.

Actually, that isn't the whole story. Many of the Muslim immigrants were allowed into France since they had supported French rule in North Africa. France, fearing reprisals, allowed them into France when they withdrew. It wasn't only 'cheap labor'.

I understand the concern. But his attacks on the neo-cons (which anger and disgust me even though I would identify more with the paleos than the neos) are still attacks on policy-advocates, many of whom are Jews. They are not attacks on Jews as Jews. It someone were truly a Jew-hater pure and simple, it would of course be possible to disguise that under attacks on Jewish policy-advocates. But just because someone does attack Jewish policy-advocates does not make one a Jew-hater. And George Weigel and Michael Novak and Richard Neuhaus, usually classified with the neo-cons, are devout Catholics, like Pat Buchanan. I think it's unhelpful to reduce neo-cons to Jews and in part I blame the Jewish neo-cons themselves for the fact that this reduction often takes place, since, they have sometimes, instead of arguing the merits of the case, resorted to claiming victimhood as Jews when attacked by Buchanan.

No. They are French. See, being a frenchie is above everything else. Its more important then religion and more important then skin color. Therefore, the black immigrants should have been more then happy to be governed by a frenchie.

In reality, both sides are guilty in this fight. There is no excuse for burning down your own town.
