Every night, Magid and fellow members of the Tabligh sect of Islam fan out across the grim projects of this poor, immigrant suburb of Paris and try to talk some sense into the angry young men who have been setting it ablaze.
"We tell them: 'if you're violent, you're no longer a Muslim. Islam is moving away from you,' " says Magid. "When they hear that, they usually feel alone and they calm down."
As France enters its 12th night of rioting, Islamic organizations like the Tabligh, which originated in the 1920s in India, stand to benefit from the unrest and emerge strengthened from it. The Tabligh advocates a strict adherence to Islam but also a disengagement from society.
While gangs of disaffected youths, mostly from Muslim families, continue to rampage, burning thousands of cars and ransacking entire neighborhoods, some of these organizations are positioning themselves as mediators who can bring back the order the government has been unable to restore.
These groups don't preach violence, but they do advocate something that is troubling Europe's secular democracies: that Muslims should identify themselves with their religion rather than as citizens.
Effectively, they are promoting a separate society within society and that brand of Islamist philosophy is seeping into many parts of Western Europe. Countries from France and Germany to the United Kingdom and the Netherlands haven't succeeded in integrating their Muslim minorities -- and Islamic organizations have carefully positioned themselves to fill the breach.
The riots "are a blessing for them because it gives them the role of intermediary," says Gilles Kepel, a scholar who has studied and written extensively about the rise of Islam in France. That, in turn, puts them in a stronger position "to force concessions from the state."

They are not assimilating here as well. Islam is just not compatible with the 21 century.
Can there be any doubt that France represents the crowning ideal of the US MSM? Supremely hypocritical, conniving and backstabbing. Cowardly, yet cavalierly brutal when advancing its interests. And hateful of the US.
Before this intifada, France and the MSM had a symbiotic strategy. The French sneered at the US - and "showed the way" to live in peace and kumbuyaness with the downtrodden Muslim world. Meanwhile, they connived to stab the US and its allies in the back. The MSM covered up for France and gushed at the wonderful success of the French in counterpointing US positions. The French had a perfect foil to divert the traitorous Muslim masses in their midst - "Attack the USA...for they are EEEEEVILLE!" They could also make a few Euros selling arms to our enemies. And they were well protected - since they had the MSM to run global cover, and they had their their appeasement talk to keep their domestic Muslims diverted.
But it didn't work. And now they are fresh out of ideas. They don't have a clue as to how to warp-drive away from their relentless excusism and near-exhortation of an anti-west jihad - all the way to what it will take to bring down the indigenous Frankenstein they created. Just like the US MSM, they believe they never have to answer for their actions - and that the world must just listen to them and their rhetoric.
But the Muslim rabble don't care what they say. They just want to take over, starting with their occupied French territory - and they won't be diverted any longer, no matter how much Chirac trashes America.
So what's a conniving, backstabbing French socialist POS to do? You can only connive against and backstab people that trust you to turn their back. And they wore out that trust with the US many vicious actions ago. And if they think they can connive and backstab Muslim leaders into deflating this Jihad - they're gonna learn that two will be playing that game.
Yeah, I suppose I should feel bad for France and all that. But we looked to the heavens when sacks of vicious crap like France did what they did to us after 9/11, and we asked for some sense of justice. Well, here it is, and I'm not about to go around lamenting that France is reaping exactly what it sowed.

This is the problem. We keep trying to be tolerant, while they will only accept the total annihilation of the Western culture. We should fight fire with fire: if they want to live amongst us, either they will "live and let live" or deport them. But I think it's actually too late for that.
France is already 10% Muslim.
That is what they ask for in every country. Even up in Canada they want their own laws.

The "reconquista" that you refer to is a possibility as Texas, New Mexico and California will one day be mostly Mexican ethnicity. However, even that scenario is not as scary as the Islamic takeover of Europe. The Mexican immigrants are not members of a religion which believes it is a holy act to become a suicide bomber, most are just coming here to work.

For the past few years, the MSM has said that if we bomb the h*ll out of these people and kill their leaders, it would embolden them and swell their ranks with others wanting to die for Allah.
Now you say that minor military victories, even against the French, will do the same thing. What happened to simply killing them to create a swelling of their ranks?

This is exactly what Albanian Muslims did to Serbia. And Bill Clinton helped them fight the Christian Serbs who were defending their own land. That should never be forgotten or forgiven.

But all of these "youths" are ripe for the picking. Some nice Islamic organization will go to them, calm them down, and restore order with a nice Muslim youth center (read terrorist training facility).
The French are happy -- peace is restored for the moment, and they can concentrate on their real battle against PETA over pate de fois gras.
In the meantime, the radical Muslims take a page from the Hitler Youth Training Manual and prepare for Holocaust II.
All one has to do to understand the mentality of Islam is to read the earliest writings about Mohammed (a well-documented history was done by a scribe named al-Qatb, I believe). Their prophet was a rapist, a pillager, and a Hitler-esque tyrant who wished to eliminate everyone who wasn't Muslim (i.e. the infidels). Even the "moderate" Muslim rulers who allowed the Christians to survive and live within their spheres of control, had to pay a tax because they weren't Muslim and usually had a series of extremely repressive regulations to live by. Why is anyone surprised that the Frogs are now on the recieving end of the idiotic appeasement policies that they have tried for decades? For God's sake, they rolled over a handed Hitler the keys to the country.

If it weren't for the fact that France has a stockpile of nuclear weapons, I wouldn't even pay attention to these events. Let's just hope they don't hand over the keys to these weapons.
