Sen. Ted Kennedy blasted the Bush administration Sunday morning for "subsuming" the nation in "scandal after scandal," saying: "Clearly there has to be a cleaning of the White House."
Asked about reports Saturday that Bush ordered his staff to attend ethics training classes, Kennedy told NBC's "Meet the Press": "I think ethics has to be more than a class, doesn't it . . . Ethics has to be a much more basic and fundamental issue."
"Clearly there has to be a cleaning of the White House," Kennedy railed. "We have a damaged presidency and a tarnished White House . . . At a time when America should be reflecting its vision of where we want to stand in the world, what we want to do here at home - we are being subsumed by scandal after scandal."
The ethically challenged Democrat claimed the public is demanding that the administration be held to account.
"Whether it's Libby and the vice president's office, whether it's the investigations of Karl Rove, or whether it's the disaster over in Iraq or the failure of Katrina," Kennedy said, "the American people think that there should be an absolute cleaning of the house."
Asked who he thought should cleaned out, Kennedy said, "Certainly Karl Rove ought to leave."
When reminded by moderator Tim Russert, "He's not been charged with any crime," Kennedy replied: "He should leave, though. He's being investigated at this present time."

Nice man-boobs, Ted. I didn't know you could sail an Oldsmobile.
HOLY FECES...THAT DESERVES ITS OWN THREAD
I only caught a few minutes. His makeup was caked on and he had the hand tremors, but what else is new.
You know you've had too much to drink when you confuse the
Bush administration with the Clinton mis-administration...
"Subsume" means to include in a rule or category.
Once again if it's a Republican, the "seriousness of the charge" is enough to remove them from office.
The day the people of the USA need a lecture on ethics, morals and scandals from Ted Kennedy is the day we all need to slit our own throats.
This gives great insight to the whole event, photos diagrams ect. Teddy bought off Mary Jo's family to avoid charges.
YTedK -Ted Kennedy: the truth about Chappaquiddick, and more...
A site devoted to criticism of Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy, with an emphasis on the Chappaquiddick incident.

Boston Globe reporter Charles Pierce won a National Headliner Award, in the category newspaper magazine writing, for story titled, Deconstructing Ted. In that article, Pierce effused:
If she had lived, Mary Jo Kopechne would be 62 years old. Through his tireless work as a legislator, Edward Kennedy would have brought comfort to her in her old age.
The Senate doesn't seem to have been "tarnished" by having a lady killer in it. Give it up Ted. You're old, senile and on your last legs.
More crapola from a bloated kegger spewing fetid tripe. Rantings from this life form will echo not long after he leaves this place.
He does evoke some of the most inventive replies from the freepers, would you agree?
*COUGH*Reagan*COUGH*
teddeeee talking about scandal? What a joke.
He's right. It was. Then Bush got elected in 2000 and the tarnishing process ended. Next question?
P.S. Ted Kennedy thinks he can walk on water. Or is that 'drive'?
Democrats have become totally unhinged in their desperation to get rid of Karl Rove. I've never seen anything like it, in my 30 years of political activity. They are willing to say and do almost anything, no matter how hypocritical, ridiculous, libelous, or treasonous, to get this guy out of the White House. He has become the white whale to a party full of feckless Ahabs.
There's a great book to be written someday about how Karl Rove became such a bogeyman to the Left. I don't think even he could have ever foreseen himself being so successful in driving an entire political party to throw itself off a cliff.
Kennedy should be reminded Bruce "unindicted co-conspirator" Lindsey never left the White House and continues to this day to wipe up after Clinton.
Lindsey was under investigation during the entire Clinton administration, and dems never even suggested he should leave.
