Ted Kennedy: White House 'Tarnished' by 'Scandal after Scandal'

Sen. Ted Kennedy blasted the Bush administration Sunday morning for "subsuming" the nation in "scandal after scandal," saying: "Clearly there has to be a cleaning of the White House."

Asked about reports Saturday that Bush ordered his staff to attend ethics training classes, Kennedy told NBC's "Meet the Press": "I think ethics has to be more than a class, doesn't it . . . Ethics has to be a much more basic and fundamental issue."

"Clearly there has to be a cleaning of the White House," Kennedy railed. "We have a damaged presidency and a tarnished White House . . . At a time when America should be reflecting its vision of where we want to stand in the world, what we want to do here at home - we are being subsumed by scandal after scandal."

The ethically challenged Democrat claimed the public is demanding that the administration be held to account.

"Whether it's Libby and the vice president's office, whether it's the investigations of Karl Rove, or whether it's the disaster over in Iraq or the failure of Katrina," Kennedy said, "the American people think that there should be an absolute cleaning of the house."

Asked who he thought should cleaned out, Kennedy said, "Certainly Karl Rove ought to leave."

When reminded by moderator Tim Russert, "He's not been charged with any crime," Kennedy replied: "He should leave, though. He's being investigated at this present time."

I'd recommend everyone read the above. A former NYPD police investigator plausibly conjectures that Chappaquidick could have been murder, the "accident" being the cover-up for the murder. Once one entertains this theory, everything makes sense.

Ted consistently tarnished his family name, his party, the truth and his underwear.

Now there is a photo that speaks for itself. I must say though the constant media attacks are taking their toll. As long as the prez wants to hide from that truth and refuse to go on the offense it will get worse. Remember we live in a world dominated by tv watchers. It is an easy crowed to convince. Most people will grow tired of the assault and assume the MSM is correct .

“The only time I’d seen Kennedy before was at a campaign stop in 1979 when he’d been seeking the Democratic presidential nomination. He might have won, but I realized at the party that it would have been a terrible thing because he was the drunkest human being I had ever encountered in my life, and chances were that it hadn’t just started that night.”

What amazes me is that the people of Massachusetts continue to re-elect this man (and Kerry). I guess the biggest pig provides the most bacon. The idea of Senator Kennedy talking about the lack of justice and the need for someone under investigation to reside is laughable.

Did old Killer Kennedy appear sober this morning? My stomach doesn't allow me to listen to one word out of mouth.

The media is anything but stupid. They heard what they wanted to hear and ran with it. The minor aspect of verifying the veracity of any of his stories never entered their mind.

Yep. They gave this scumbag a platform to spew his lies and pyschobabble. A man who got kicked out of Harvard for cheating, committed negligent homicide, got beaten by Carter in the Rat primaries, and gathered up his nephews for some drinking in which one of them possibly committed rape.

And the networks wonder why people are not watching their DNC press releases.

And Libby isn't a scandal yet. It may prove to be a Democratic Scandal. Don't forget, Libby worked for Clinton first.

Ah, you guys lighten up on Teddy K.

He just is in an alcohol induced time warp. He thinks it is a Clinton Administration, and is speaking truth for the first time in his life.

"Clearly there has to be a cleaning of the White House," Kennedy railed.

The problem is that `Rug Doctor' was out to the WH in January of 2001. After a couple dozen gallons of industrial-strength ('labrador grade') detergent, and burning out the motors on four pumps--and that was just trying to clean just the rugs and draperies--they said they wouldn't be back.

It's probably what Mary Jo Kopechne experienced as she was trapped in an Oldsmobile for hours as the oxygen was used up.

I don't understand how this hypocritical, bloated, drunken killer can even attempt to talk about the "scandals" of anybody.

I wonder if he sleeps at all at night...maybe a big 'ol tug or two on the bottle helps.

What a repulsive slug.

Let's hear it for "Drowning Man", and the moral high ground. Ted's Triathlon performance was spectacular. Way to go Tedddy.

He drank, drove and drowned someone.

I'll give him a ten for execution, but I'm admittedly a little soft on my scoring. He probably should have gotten between ten and twenty.

Let's hear it for the felon Senator from the great state of Massachusetts, where you can kill your date and still run for office.

Let's have a big round of applause for women's rights folks!

Ted Kennedy's Oldsmobile has killed more women than my 45ACP.
