The armed wing of the ruling Fatah party, Aksa Martyrs Brigades, on Sunday became the first Palestinian group to publicly endorse Iran's call to eliminate Israel.
In a leaflet distributed in the Gaza Strip, the group voiced full support for Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's statements in which he said that Israel "must be wiped off the map."
Ahmadinejad also warned Arab countries against developing economic ties with Israel in response to its withdrawal form the Gaza Strip, which he dubbed as a "trick."
"Anybody who recognizes Israel will burn in the fire of the Islamic nation's fury," he was quoted as saying. "Any [Islamic leader] who recognizes the Zionist regime means he is acknowledging the surrender and defeat of the Islamic world."
The leaflet by the Fatah group is the first of its kind since the Iranian president's speech. Both Hamas and Islamic Jihad, which are believed to be receiving financial aid from Iran, have refrained from reacting to the call to wipe Israel off the map.
"We affirm our support and backing for the positions of the Iranian president toward the Zionist state which, by God's will, will cease to exist," said the leaflet. "Recognizing Israel's right to exist means underestimating the Palestinian people, who are making daily sacrifices to liberate Palestine and Jerusalem."
The Fatah group also hailed Ahamdinejad's appeal to the Palestinians to unite their ranks so they would be able to destroy Israel.
Palestinian Authority officials in Ramallah told the Jerusalem Post that the leaflet does not reflect the stance of the PA or its chairman, Mahmoud Abbas. "We strongly condemn the leaflet," said one official. "We believe it does not even reflect the position of the Aksa Martyrs Brigades."
The PA is now in the process of incorporating hundreds of gunmen from the Aksa Martyrs Brigades into the PA security forces. Last month the PA cabinet decided to set up five training camps in the West Bank to prepare the gunmen for their new missions. The PA's plan is supported by both the US and Israel.
In a related development, Professor Abdel Sattar Kassem of An-Najah Univeristy in Nablus lashed out at the US, Britain, France and Israel for expressing their revulsion at the Iranian leader's remarks.
"These aggressive countries, which specialize in political fraud and the exploitation of other people, did not express reservations when Palestine was wiped off the map in 1948," he said.
"Millions of Palestinian refugees have been living for the past 60 years under harsh conditions so that Israel could continue to exist. And these countries, which have been emphasizing their keenness about human rights, insist on preventing these refugees from returning to their homes and property. Israel remains an alien organ in the Arab and Muslim region."
In another development, a Palestinian preacher on Friday delivered a sermon in the southern Gaza Strip in which he saluted Osama bin Laden and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.
According to a report by the Palestine News Network, the sermon was delivered by Dr. Jamil Mutawi, a senior representative of Hamas.
"May God bless Sheikh Osama bin Laden and Sheikh Abu Musab al Zarqawi, who are both leading the jihad against the Zionist entity and against American domination of the world," he reportedly told worshippers on the second day of the Muslim feast of Eid al-Fitr.
PA Interior Ministry spokesman Tawfik Abu Khoussa denied reports that al-Qaida had begun operating in the Gaza Strip following the Israeli disengagement. "These are false claims and lies made by Israeli security officials with the aim of distorting the image of the Palestinians and their struggle," he said.
Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.
Such pleasant vermin.
Who would have thought that Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade wanted to destroy Israel? I'm shocked and amazed!
I wonder if the rest of the Arab and Muslim world feels the same way? They do? i'm shocked and amazed!
According to a report by the Palestine News Network, the sermon was delivered by Dr. Jamil Mutawi, a senior representative of Hamas.
Seems like there is some new PC in that statement, trying to make the Mullahs seem more western and less extreme I.E. They are just regular Preachers right, not extremist jihadies.
I love the way the Islamonazis hijack the term "martyr". These cowards know nothing about martyrdom, whether experienced by the Macabees, the early Christians, or the Holocaust!

"Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades to join PA security forces as groups
The Palestine Media Center henceforth the (PMC) is an independent official institution established in November 2001. The PMC is under the direct supervision of PLO Executive Committee Member Mr. Yasser Abed Rabbo. IMRA interview Qais A'ssad of the PMC, in English on 26 October:
IMRA: Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmad Qurei announced last Sunday a new plan aimed at incorporating the Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades into the official security services of the Palestinian Authority. Will they join as groups or be spread around the security services as individuals?
A'ssad: As groups. They will first be trained as groups and then become part of the security services as groups."

The US is pressuring Israel to arm the "Palestinian" "security" forces and to let them operate without hinderance
Mahmoud Abbas is in this picture. He is the one whose subordinates are calling for the destruction of Israel. His pal is Israel's "best friend ever".
And this pronouncement of agreement was necessary because...?
Are the West Bank schools and media still pumping out "Israelis are dogs" materials? If so, the promise of peace is about as valuable to peace as the flatulence that follows an Arab dinner.
File this under "G" for "Give them an inch, they'll take 10,000 square miles."
"Anybody who recognizes Israel will burn in the fire of the Islamic nation's fury,"
Yeah ! yeah! Yeah! Bite me.

PRESIDENT BUSH: Thank you. Mr. President, it is my honor to welcome the democratically elected leader of the Palestinian people to the White House.
We meet at a time when a great achievement of history is within reach, the creation of a peaceful, democratic Palestinian state. President Abbas is seeking that goal by rejecting violence and working for democratic reform. I believe the Palestinian people are fully capable of justly governing themselves, in peace with their neighbors. I believe the interests of the Israeli people would be served by a peaceful Palestinian state. And I believe that now is the time for all parties of this conflict to move beyond old grievances and act forcefully in the cause of peace.
President Abbas's election four months ago was a tribute to the power and appeal of democracy, and an inspiration to the people across the region. Palestinians voted against violence, and for sovereignty, because only the defeat of violence will lead to sovereignty.
Mr. President, the United States and the international community applaud your rejection of terrorism. All who engage in terror are the enemies of a Palestinian state, and must be held to account. We will stand with you, Mr. President, as you combat corruption, reform the Palestinian security services and your justice system, and revive your economy. Mr. President, you have made a new start on a difficult journey, requiring courage and leadership each day -- and we will take that journey together.
As we work for peace, other countries must step up to their responsibilities. Arab states must take concrete measures to create a regional environment conducive to peace. They must offer financial assistance to all -- to support the peaceful efforts of President Abbas, his government and the Palestinian people. And they must refuse to assist or harbor terrorists.
Israel must continue to take steps toward a peaceful future, and work with the Palestinian leadership to improve the daily lives of Palestinians, especially their humanitarian situation. Israel should not undertake any activity that contravenes road map obligations or prejudice final status negotiations with regard to Gaza, the West Bank and Jerusalem.
Therefore, Israel must remove unauthorized outposts and stop settlement expansion. The barrier being erected by Israel as a part of its security effort must be a security, rather than political, barrier. And its route should take into account, consistent with security needs, its impact on Palestinians not engaged in terrorist activities. As we make progress toward security, and in accordance with the road map, Israeli forces should withdraw to their positions on September the 28th, 2000.
Psalm 83:2 For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.
Psa 83:3 They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.
Psa 83:4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from [being] a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance
what a surprise. Didn't see -that- coming. (sarcasm off)
Send them to their "Allah".
It's time to mobilize, both in prayer and politics, to move upon Washington D.C. and, in love, help to open the eyes of our Congresscritters about the truth and what America's actions re: Israel and the RoadMap bull will destine for any future America might have. Stay tuned. And pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
What is America thinking? This Roadmap bull is pure insanity. 100% deadly for America.
