Paul Vallely, on air last night on the John Batchelor show, said he met Joe Wilson in 2002 in the "green room" of a cable network's studio.
Both Vallely and Wilson were waiting to go on air. Wilson, at that time, was packaging himself as an expert on Iraq.
Vallely said that since he and Wilson found they had some acquaintances in common, they began talking. In the course of the conversation, Wilson told Vallely that Wilson's wife worked for the CIA.
This conversation, Vallely said, took place in 2002, several months before Plame's alleged "outing" at the hands of Karl Rove and Scooter Libby, via Robert Novak's column published July 14, 2003.
Vallely also said that his impression of Joe Wilson, at that time, was that Wilson was a "self-promoter" who was making the rounds of the news programs, likely in advance of publishing a book.
[Note: Vallely's link on the John Batchelor Show website (scroll down to "Paul Vallely" under heading "Current Intelligence") does not carry this report, at least not yet. Link at this time goes to Joe Wilson: Lying About Iraqi Uranium.]
I heard Wilson being interviewed by one of the MSM this week and his claim when asked about this fact was something like "Well we have two little kids so you can imagine how many cocktail parties we were going out to." He claimed that was just more trash throwing from the VRWC.
Pray for W and Our Amazing Troops
Au Contraire. Mr.Novak is well aware of Ms. Plame. Mr. Wilson told him before the article was printed. Why else would Novak buy this stuffed shirts story. It's not like 'ol
Joe could show him a copy of the report he wrote about his trip for the CIA. He needed credibility, and what better than my shhhhh my wife is CIA.. but don't mention her cover name. I'm sure Fitz has asked Novak to keep this under wraps till the investigation is over.. to protect the case...
I hear this repeated over and over again but how do we know it's true? Where did this "fact" come from in the first place?
Miller is wonderful. He is an old time Democrat who loves his country and party, and sees right through the NEW BUNCH. They are controlled by the small splinter groups and are funded by Soros who bought and owns the DNC> Dean is boss for now, and is okay with all the far out socialist ideas they spew. It may be in America as Zell says, but it certainly is NOT AMERICA as he will plainly say. Zell has several books out, and all are a wonderful read.
Wilson will be under oath at trial. Vallely will make a great Impeachment witness.
Fitzgerald may not be able to use Wilson at all however the defense can call Wilson using Vallely as a threat.
wnd also carries this important story:

THE PLAME GAME
Analyst says Wilson
'outed' wife in 2002
Disclosed in casual conversations
a year before Novak column
And now, yet another update...I just got logged on to FR for the first time today, and what do I see...
Joe Wilson fumes over Vallely charges in WND
HA! Wilson's weaselly little lawyer is threatening Vallely with a lawsuit for "slander."
Oh, please God, go ahead and sue a retired major general, Lyin' Joe! (He'll never do it -- but if he is fool enough to do so, the discovery phase will prove to be MOST interesting.)
bttt
Joe keeps threatening to sue EVERYONE. He never will! If he did so, he would have to cough up far too much info and the truth about him and wifey numbers 1 through 3 would have to become public knowledge.
Exactly. This will be like the Delay trial that the Dummy DEMS are going to wish they never started.
Wilson, Plame, Tenet will all be called as witnesses.
Bush team is no dummies. They may have this whole thing planned out.
John Batchelor ping.

"Valerie Plame appeared in Vanity Fair magazine with her husband Joseph Wilson in January 2004"
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "WASHINGTON Ambassador Joseph Wilson's attorney is demanding Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely retract a statement he made to WND that the man at the center of the CIA leak case "outed" his own wife as a CIA employee in conversations more than a year before her identity was revealed in a syndicated column.
A demand letter was sent by Christopher Wolf, partner at Proskauer Rose LLP and counsel for Wilson, to both Vallely and WND tonight.
It disputes Vallely's claim that Wilson mentioned Valerie Plame's status with the CIA in conversations in 2002 in the Fox News Channel's "green room" in Washington as they waited to appear as analysts."
