Prince Charles: The Constantine of Islam?
Faith Freedom International ^ | 11/03/2005 | Ali Sina

Is Prince Charles being groomed to become the Constantine of Islam in England?

Prince Charles has arrived to America to for an eight-day tour. His mission is to persuade W. Bush and the Americans of “the merits of Islam”. He has voiced private concerns over America ’s "confrontational" approach to Muslim countries and its failure to appreciate Islam's strengths. He thinks United States has been too intolerant of the religion.

What is behind this interest in Islam? Why would the Prince of Wales become an ambassador of this Arabian religion?

In a 1997 Middle East Quarterly article titled "Prince Charles of Arabia," Ronni L. Gordon and David M. Stillman looked at evidence that Britain ’s Prince Charles might be a secret convert to Islam.

This claim was put forward by no less a personage than the grand mufti of Cyprus : "Did you know that Prince Charles has converted to Islam. Yes, yes. He is a Muslim. I can't say more. But it happened in Turkey . Oh, yes, he converted all right. When you get home check on how often he travels to Turkey . You'll find that your future king is a Muslim." 2

What I fail to understand is why this fop thinks that anyone in America would be swayed by his lunacy.

That and dressing-up his wife for New York soirees in a Di lookalike outfit. Is it his handlers, or does he come up with this stuff by himself?

"If he feels like that, why was he in such a huff when his ex wife was dating a muslim?"

- Perhaps he thinks Diana was murdered for converting to Islam? http://www.danielpipes.org/article/290 How should I know?

Isn't it ironic that at the time Prince Charles decides to come to the US to proselytize for Islam, Muslims are burning France?

If Islam cares to improve its image with Americans, it's prominent leaders could begin by publicly denouncing Islamic terrorism.

Meanwhile, Prince Charles, go pound sand.

Yeah, it's kind of like Al Gore preaching about global waring on the coldest day recorded in years.

Wearing a dress is not dressing up like Di, and all the Brit society wear funny looking hats.

The man barely understands architecture. He should steer clear of politics and religion.

Maybe he's so appreciative that a Muslim was responsible for getting Diana out of the way, that he's paying homage to the "religion of peace."

Oh, and we all know Charles has impeccable judgment, don't we?

True enough. He did marry that drunken floozy who got herself killed in a car crash with her muzzie boy-toy, didn't he?

It'd be really mean to say anything about Camilla in a burka being an improvement.

So I won't.

No siree.

"Prince Charles: The Constantine of Islam?"

More likely "the buffoon of Wales."

But didn't he disown the title "Defender of the Faith"?

And, in his case, quite appropriately so.

You have to admit that Camilla would look much better in a burqa.

The prince is a rich sinner who has done nothing in life.

Not quite nothing. Check out the Prince's Trust - a charity which has actually achieved something solid (incidentally in areas which should appeal to Conservatives), in marked contrast to the high-profile but largely frothy 'charitable works' of his late first wife.

No, just the royal's self imposed dress code.

Noone else but royals would wear hats like the Q's.

Mama would crack Charles' over the head if he converted to Islam. That said, his arrival with the express purpose of scolding Bush over his 'confrontational' policies toward Islam (hello, 9/11 and 7/11), is irrational and way beyond insulting. And a few minutes' stop at the site of 9/11 with bowed head and better half resplendent in raspberry velvet doesn't cut it. God help Britain.
