Family members are investigating what they consider to be suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a nursing home patient at the center of a life and death tug-of-war reminiscent of the Terri Schiavo tragedy.
Seventy-nine-year-old Jimmy Chambers died in the early morning hours of Oct. 24 after the tracheotomy tubes that deliver oxygen from a ventilator to a hole in his neck became unhooked. Family members were told Chambers, a resident of the Anne Maria Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in North Augusta, S.C., apparently pulled the interlocking tubes apart.
"We're having it investigated. We're just incredulous," Chambers' daughter, Deanna Potter, told WND in reference to her siblings. "The last time I saw dad he was blowing me a kiss. I blew him one and he blew one back."
The retired dispatcher for Holland Motor Express died approximately 10 hours later. His death certificate indicates he died of "natural causes."
"Apparently, suffocation is a 'natural cause' when you're on a ventilator. We're contesting that," said Potter. "He suffocated. He didn't just pass away. He struggled and fought. And I'm just so angry."
Potter estimates it would have taken 10 to 14 minutes for her father, deprived of oxygen, to fall unconscious, and questions why the nursing home staff didn't come to his aid.
"The oxygen-saturation meter and his ventilator both would have had alarms going off. Four-thirty, five o'clock in the morning you'd think someone would hear this," she added. "That's the thing that really bothers me and makes me suspicious."

One can only hope that America will pay attention.
If a "John Doe" hired perps who failed in their attempt to kill Jane Doe while John was at work, John may have arrived at home, found she was breathing, and disposed of (or rearranged) any evidence, before calling anyone.
THAT is a GREAT report! Anita Crane has done it again!
The free exchange of ideas is what makes Free Republic so great.
American Catholic (or St. Anthony's Messenger) is a liberal Catholic (in name only) publication. Dissenters of Church teachings (former archbishop Rembert Weakland, Bishop Gummbleton, etc) write for this rag.
I've learned through back channels that people from other states are bringing their relatives to Pinellas County for minor problems and if something else happens while they are in a hospital, docs are no coding them instead of treating them. This is happening repeatedly.
What about the judges? There's no need to go through Judge Greer and law enforcement is standing down.
Can you imagine going into the hospital for something minor and ending up in the morgue?
see my last.
check out my post about Pinellas Cty Hospitals.
If the JQC wants to root out the corruption in Pinellas County, they better hire more staff.
"Can you imagine going into the hospital for something minor and ending up in the morgue?"
Unfortunately, I can imagine such a thing. When Dad was in Naples Community Hospital, 3 out of 4 of his doctors recommended that we disconnect his ventilator EVEN THOUGH THEY HADN"T EVEN TRIED TO WEAN HIM FROM IT!! The day after his surgery, my mother and sister insisted that we disconnect him "because he can't get any better". (How can one tell if someone can get better when the anesthesia still hasn't worn off?) One social worker insisted that I and my pro life siblings were in denial about Dad's condition and what he would want. It was just that barrage of "Kill him, kill him, kill him" that prompted us to insist that he be taken off of all meds for a day and then to ask him what HE wanted. When he said he wanted to live, we thought that would settle things. Little did we know.
The culture of death in the hospital is predominant, not secondary. For many of them, it ain't about healing, baby.
Shep Smith was in NOLA and his hair wasn't out of place. He didn't mention the quake. Maybe it didn't hit where Shep was.
Florida's not just for tourism any more.
Porn on his computer. I guess he thought he was a teflon judge like Judge Greed.

Sorry it's not Judge Greer on the Drudge Report instead with a major break in Schiavo-Gate.
I'm developing a sample ballot for next year. PINELLAS COUNTY COMMISSION: 1. Do NOT vote for SUSAN LATVALA 2. Vote for John Morroni.
"Florida's not just for tourism any more."
Yeah, they're not kidding when they call Florida God's waiting room.
I am still so sorry about what you had to endure. It is awful that the death cultists are so entrenched in our society. :-(
It is downright scary when you think about the implications!
I write lousy limericks for all occasions.
Even if the exposed judge in Pinellas were George W. Greer, he would still be popular and respected by the merchants-of-death populace there. Floriduh voter tells it like it is!
In the December 26th edition, People Magazine wrote, "Michael Schiavo's life has settled down since doctors removed the feeding tube from his brain damaged wife, Terri, on March 18."
"After their long legal battle, he and Terri's parents, Robert Sr and Mary Schindler, may never speak again."
"But Schiavo, 42, who works as a nursing supervisor in Pinellas County, Fla (Pinellas County Jail), is still angry at the way his personal family drama climaxed on the national state - and the way the battle over Terri's fate set off a stunning display of political histronics, including an emergency session of Congress, that landed him squarely in the middle of the culture wars."
"Schiavo, who according to his brother Brian, received death threats, will tell his side of the ordeal in a memoir, Terri: The Truth, which is due out in the spring. He has also started a political action committee."
"There is more important stuff going on in the world right now, says Brian [Schiavo's brother], "but he's not going to let people forget how he was vilified - so it doesn't happen again to someone else."
