This has been going on since the mid-1060s... Before that most films and TV series stayed away from politics and supported patriotism.
Re: "In my opinion, their plan will work"
It has! When the media found they could lose us a war they didn't like and bring down a President they didn't like... They just poured it on! And will keep on pouring it on...
And the way things look, they will win in the end unless we Conservatives get out and set up films and TV series reflecting our views!
It will never happen. Conservatives have far too much common sense to get involved in show business.
<< More disturbing is their use of little flashlights. Why do they need them outside and why can't they turn on a light switch when entering a darkened room? >>
That's a bit of a daggy question. One that, for years, I've been asking my poor wife in movie theaters and while watching cops and robbers tv:
"Why don't the dumb b*sta*ds just switch on the bloody lights!!!!!!????????"
Tune in, turn on and drop out of TVland. I am not connected to cable OR antennae. All I watch are DVDs and videos. That's all my kids watch and quite frankly even that is limited. I got tired of TV garbage a long time ago. Take my advice and take a Sabbatical from it. Your perspective can only improve.
...and while I'm at it, cops in Vegas must be paid pretty well. They all seem to wear $300 designer sunglasses.
She's a pro-abort. When I saw her on the following list I lost enthusiasm for her too:

BTW, although Martin Sheen is listed above, I think I remember reading that he withdrew his support when he realized that this was an abortion rights protest.

<P.
That sounds like something some German once upon a time said to another about Joe Gobbles propganda...
Wipe another show off my list... Tuned in just in time to hear the smug Leviticus quote. Morons.
I watch TBN. Little else, save sports.
I can't do that at the moment, since I live in a house with two other people, and we split the cost of the utilities, but I may just do that in the future. Like I said earlier, I don't watch much Tv, and most of what I do watch is educational programming.
Give a conservative $200 million and they'll build a shopping mall, invest in bonds, and possibly some solid stocks, etc.
Give $200 million to a movie guy and he'll hire a guy living in a studio apartment in West Hollywood to write 120 pages, then assemble a group of craftsman, emotionally dicey performers and technicians and spend $210 million producing a very long strip of plastic that can hopefully be cut and pasted into something resembling a story that someone, somewhere will pay money to see.
O.K. It's time for Dr. Dobson to organize a boycott of all advertisers for the CSI series.
I watch CSI. Not a bad show. But I miss the reruns of Gunsmoke on Encore's Western channel. Matt Dillion was great.
That plot line and the smug, pro-abortion message grated on me as well. Yet I also remember a CSI opening scene that had Grissom concluding that a body had been posed and that its position "was as phony as a Chappaquiddick neck brace."
You mean they actually had an episode that didn't involve deviant sexual behavior? I stopped watching this show after the "porn star and husband murdered in their driveway" program...
