"Just 35 percent of those surveyed rated the economy as either excellent or good, with 65 percent describing it as not so good or poor. "
Polls, bleah! Too many ways to weight them so the pollsters get the answers they want, not to mention getting a representative sample of Amercans' opinions.
Lazy, i.e. Stupid Americans....brought to you by your PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM
The old media may be sick, but it's not dead and gone. And scare-mongering, making crises out of thin air, exploiting biases and weaknesses - it's what keeps them going on. Very sad and disheartening.
If you poll a bunch of democrats, the results are not surprising. Always consider the source of the poll.
Democrats win polls. Republicans win elections.
This is from the WaPo & ABC, it's highly questionable if the poll was fair to begin with, and further if the results have been fairly portrayed.
The leftist media has done their job for the democrats well.
What is this? Is a person not allowed to evolve as his understanding increases, and must a person hold the same views as everybody else on everything? The president is heavily constrained in what he can say simply because he holds office. When he is out to pasture, we might get some of what he really thinks.
They stacked the poll to get the result they wanted. It's posted right here on FRee Republic:
Biased ABC/Post Poll Oversample Democrats over Republicans by 11 Points: 52% Dem., 41% Rep., 6% Ind>
I hope that helps.
No bias here ... come'on folks these people have been outed ... most Americans get it ... they don't, and keep digging a deeper & deeper hole.
Is this the poll where only 24% of those polled were Republicans?
If so, the MSM needs to be exposed.
This "poll" is explained in a later thread - heavily dem (over 50%) with fewer Republicans.
Read post # 26 --- BAISED AP
"...it will directly affect how much he can get through Congress."
Actually, that depends upon the RINOS on our side growing some cahones, which I don't see happening anytime soon. They're fat and lazy. And most of them don't care, either.
As for the American People? They're busy watching "American Idol" or "Fear Factor" or whatever other TV show is "hip" this week.
Trust me. Peeps on FR and those that listen to Rush and a few other outlets are the ONLY ones who care, and the only ones who are NEVER polled.
Have you been polled? Ever? I haven't. No one in my family of staunch Republicans has ever been polled.
ABC is full of it. Don't sweat it. Just WORK locally and THINK locally. If you have any DemonRats in your local government positions, work like h#ll to get rid of them come '06, '07 and '08. If you and your friends are organized, it shouldn't be that hard as they're in Full-Destruct Mode now. You can tell by the way they throw these bogus "polls" out to the Sheeple. ;)
Aw Geez, Not These Crappy Polls Again. Alright, Once More Into The Breach

The MSM is positively orgasmic over 3 new polls - yes, 3, showing President Bush's approval numbers in the crapper. Gee, do you think that is the reason Reid decided to pull his little stunt this week, and the rest of the lefties got beer muscles and decided to throw sand in the President's eye?
But once again, it is up to us here at ABP to show you why these polls are utterly meaningless when it comes to predicting what voters will do come 2006.
Click READ MORE to continue.
First, the 3 doom and gloom polls.
From The Washington Post: Approve-38% Disapprove-60%
From AP/Ipsos: Approve-37% Disapprove-58%
From CBS News: Approve-35% Disapprove-57%
We're going to forego the usual factors of weekend polling, age and income level of respondents, etc., and just go to party ID of respondents, after telling you that the polls are of "adults", not even "registered voters" or even "likely voters".
Let's just remind you that in 2004 the exit polls showed the party ID of voters at 37% Republicans and Democrats
So, let's get to the numbers shall we.
Party ID of The Washington Post poll respondents: Independent-38% Democrat-31% Republican-27% (Lean- Democrat 52% Republican-41% Independent-6%)
Party ID of AP/Ipsos poll respondents: Democrat-49% Republican-40% Independent 9%
Party ID of CBS News poll respondents (weighted): Independent-41% Democrat-35% Republican-24%
Ok folks, does anything more really need to be said?
UPDATE: Tom Elia of The New Editor shows this kind of imbalance in polls has been going on since July.
