Senate minority leader's stunt yesterday to shut down the Senate by invoking Rule 21 and placing the Senate into closed session to discuss the intelligence that led to war means that the Nevada democrat is one of two things: A genius or a moron.
The plan was reportedly hatched on Halloween along with his partners Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Richard Durbin (D-Ill.) and Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.).
That's going to make him a moron in many eyes. His talking points were then e-mailed:
* Most important decision a President makes is to put American lives at risk and go to war.
* Many of us supported the decision to invade Iraq based on the national intelligence presented at the time.
* Over the past few months, and vividly last Friday, we’ve learned that we were given bad information. Americans were intentionally deceived.
* White House indictments confirm Republicans tried to silence critics and cover up the real intelligence.
* America deserves answers. National security is at stake.
* If mistakes were made, we need to know. Otherwise, we are doomed to repeat them.
* Republicans committed to investigate how national intelligence was used to set the stage for war.
* Now, they are refusing to keep that commitment. What are they afraid of America learning?
* Republicans must come clean. It is our shared responsibility to be straight with the American people.
* Stakes could not be higher. That is why we are demanding answers through an unprecedented closed Senate session.
* We will not let up until America gets answers.
* Together, America Can Do Better"
That last line sounded a lot like Bill Clinton, But without that quivering lip - it may even be tough to score points there. ...

That comment is outrageous. The MSM will ignore it however and portray the Dems as heroes for their actions.
It seems the Dems are trying to carve out a niche for themselves, were they can say we voted for the war but our support for the war was based on lie. So now, we can be intellectually honest and be against the war.

They have had their report ready since May, the Dems have made up one excuse after another for not doing their part by reading it. All this theater yesterday was to claim they "forced" Republicans to do what they ALL READY HAD on the schedule for next week!

Taking away titled WATER RIGHTS from Northern Nevada ranchers and homeowners and building a 475 mile pipeline at the cost of $1 Billion/mile to pipe the water to Las Vegas, where all of Reid's loyalty is based along with his son who is a developer in Las Vegas.
Reid has told Northern Nevada ranchers who rely on the water to grow crops and make a living that "they will thank him in the future for taking away their water". This is just such a jaw-dropping statement, I have no way to explain him.
Like the old expression says: Whiskey is for drinking; Water is for fighting over.

Well, since I can't recall one "genius" ever in the Senate, and Reid was joined in his closed Senate request by Shumer, Durbin, and Stabenow, I'd have to vote "moron."

And just how were they suppose to stop them? The Dims went as a group onto the floor of the Senate when the Repbs were all out doing their JOBS and highjacked the floor agenda to stage this PR stunt. Gee SORRY the Republican Ledership is not MINDREADERS who could just KNOW Dingy Harry and his slimes were going to pull a PR stunt NEVER before done on the Senate Floor yesterday.
